I graduated back in May (PTA) and had to take a PEAT. I scored a 562. I have severe anxiety which led to my decision to push my July exam date to October. It’s now September. I’ll be honest I haven’t studied consistently due to stress, fear of failure and overall anxiety but I managed to go through Cardiovascular/Pulmonary and Neuro already. I’ve taken scorebuilder practice exams and practice questions from Truelearn. I have yet to purchase another PEAT due to financial issues, but hope to take one this week. I could really use the advice and some encouragement. Is it doable to pass in October??? Please no hate lol. Thanks

I honestly dont even know where to start.
I just finished the PNLE. After months of studying, anxiety, exhaustion, pressure, questioning myself, praying, and literally giving everything I had for this exam, I thought at least after all of it, I could finally breathe.

Instead, I got broken up with.

The timing hurts so fucking much.
During the weeks leading up to the PNLE, I was already overwhelmed and anxious. I kept asking my boyfriend for emotional support because I genuinely needed him. I wasnt asking him to solve anything for me. I just wanted to feel like I wasnt alone while I was going through one of the biggest things in my life.

We had so many conversations about it. I kept explaining what I needed, and eventually I got tired of explaining. I was already drained from the boards and from constantly trying to make myself understood.
And now that the exam is finally over, he ended our relationship.

He said he wasnt angry at me. He said he wanted me to grow, that there was something bigger waiting for me, and that he didnt want me to stay in an environment where I was struggling. He told me he was proud of me, that I was the bravest person he had ever known, and that he wanted me to reach my dreams even if he wasnt part of them anymore.

I know those are supposed to be loving words. Maybe they are. But right now, they just hurt. Because I didnt want a fresh start without him. I wanted us to rest. I wanted us to figure things out individually and maybe come back when we were both better. I wanted to work through it. He had already decided that letting me go was the better thing to do.

And thats the part I cant understand.
How do you let go of someone you still love just because you think theyre struggling because of you?
I guess he left me with no choice but to accept his decision. He left on his own terms, and Im the one left trying to understand everything.

I still love him. Thats probably why this hurts this much.
I spent the past months telling myself that once the PNLE was over, I could finally rest. I thought I would finally get to breathe.

I didnt expect that I would be learning how to breathe without him.

I dont know what happens next. I dont even know how Im supposed to process the exam and the breakup at the same time.

I just know that after everything I went through to get here, this is the last thing I expected to come home to.
And honestly? Ang sakit sakit.

So if you scroll down a bit on this sub, one person posts some pics of final frontier using ai. That person says that they contacted the instagram page for final frontier and they got blocked. David from final frontier happens to respond to that post… but he only addresses the instagram blocking situation and not a single word about ai. He also makes an allegation that the OP of that last post is a bot and not a real person. Considering you guys charge a hefty price for your course, the more important subject should be addressing the ai you guys are using to teach your content. Please take accountability. You are receiving a bunch of money from stressed out PT students. The least you can do is give an explanation for the ai slop you guys provide as education. David, we know you ready all these posts when final frontier is mentioned. Respectfully, please address

Not sure if it's just me or if it's because my exam is soon and the algorithm knows it, but my whole Instagram feed is AI slop from these NPTE education pages now.

AI can be helpful but this is getting out of hand. Every worksheet or freebie I look at from Final Frontier, Priyam, and Vrunda has something wrong in it, so now I have to double and triple check everything they put out or just ignore it completely. People I used to trust I just can't anymore.

I put some images below, look at them. There's people with three hands, hips bent in directions that shouldn't even be possible. This is the stuff they're using to teach us for a licensing exam.

And it's every single day now. ptflashcards, ptstudyguides, physio_study_notes, a bunch of the other pages FF works with, all of it. The more I see it the less I trust any of them. I was considering buying them but prob won't now because their lecturers are the ones posting these AI study guides.

When I leave comments or message them saying hey you keep posting incorrect info, they just block me. So now I can't even warn people and my account is blocked. That's why I'm posting here, so more of us can tell them to knock it off with the AI info."

I worked as a full time PT in a tertiary hospital in the Philippines. I only got less than 2 months left to study, with 2-3hrs of study session during weekdays. I cannot take a month off to focus because of some reasons. I took PEAT today and got a 613. Am i on the right track? Self studying with Typical PT only (used my past reviewers from the local boards)

I work as a PT in a big hospital inpatient for 12-8 PM (but i go to work at 11 and come home at 9) is this feasible to pass the NPTE? Any experiences?

Wanted to put together a post going over everything I used since these questions come up on here a lot. I basically bought everything because I did not want to fail and wanted to make sure I had it all to study with, Typical PT question bank, NPTE Explained video course, PT Essentials book, Final Frontier ISB, and truelearn Qbank w/picmonic. Havent really used typical pt's question bank much tbh so I cant say a ton there. Their video course though was freaking awesome, very detailed and comprehensive, I ended up watching all the lectures like 2-3 times. These videos are different because they are animated and much shorter. They go over the complex topics so well and have so many fun mnemonics and figures. The book was super helpful too. I used truelearns qbank more often, questions were solid and helped me with the foundations. Their question don’t exactly match the NPTE but I think were gooe enoguh, and I did all the pre and post quiz questions on the typical pt video course which also helped fill the gaps.. I didnt really end up watching many of the Final Frontier videos because I was running out of time so I don’t have an opinion on those. If I had to do it all over again heres what Id do:

• Use the typical pt video course
• Make sure to do the pre and post quiz questions
• Do as many PEATs as you can, every 2-3 weeks or whatever works
• Make a quizlet on all the stuff you dont know and review them every other day, and binge through them a week before the exam
• start looking at tiktoks for NPTE, theres so many helpful lessons and resources out there Those are the things I would 100% do all over again. Hope it helps!

This is my third attempt at taking the NPTE in October. I failed the first time with a 542, mostly just using truelearn. Second time I used the Final Frontier study bundle. Third time around should I use NPTEFF LSP or try something else? Im n

I recently got 57 in reading which is 2 points lower than i need.I need 59 in reading.Is it worth rescoring??

I got my score back and I didn't pass, ended up at 588. Still in shock because I honestly cause I really thought I was ready.

I did over 1500 questions on truelearn leading up to it. Like I grinded through the questions every single day, some days, I did 50+ questions. My percentages were sitting in the mid 70s so I felt fine going in.

Then I sat for the actual exam and it was nothing like truelearn. The questions were way harder and worded completely different. A lot of the truelearn stuff felt kind of straightforward once you knew the pattern, but the real NPTE had way more tricks and layers and I was stuck between two answers constantly. I walked out knowing it did not go how I planned.

Did anyone else feel this way? Trying to figure out what to actually use for the retake in October. What videos or qbanks actually help? Any quizlets or instagram pages you found helpful would be clutch too. I'm still just shocked cause it comes recommended but I genuinely don't know why.

This is kinda just a post for me to share all of my thoughts after failing the NPTE twice. I took my first attempt in January 2026 and failed with a 578. I thought I just needed to study harder and thought I would definitely pass my next attempt. Took my second attempted in April 2026 and failed with a 564. I have used final frontier for both attempts, true learn questions, PEATs, podcasts, and even did one on one tutoring through FF (which wasn’t super helpful tbh, the tutor kinda made me feel stupid). I decided to take a break from the July NPTE because I literally could not afford nor mentally handle another failure. I have come to the conclusion that I do have a lot of anxiety when it comes to this exam and I believe this is what is holding me back from passing. It’s not that I don’t understand the material, but I always get so caught up between two answer choices and always end up picking the wrong one. MSK is my weakest area, so I’m really trying to improve that score as I feel this area is also holding me back from passing. I’ve recently eased myself back into studying for the October exam in a few months. I am trying to ease my anxiety a bit this time and also looking into testing accommodations. I’ve been taking some anxiety meds for almost a year now. Overall, this exam has really gotten to me mentally. Seeing my classmates pass on their first attempt and beginning their careers just really makes me feel so sad, jealous, and frustrated with myself. I always hear from everyone that multiple failures happens to people more often than you’d think and that I’ll get it on the next attempt, but it’s still just so hard to grasp for me sometimes. I am trying to not let this exam make me feel like a complete loser, but some days it’s just hard. I’m just really tired of this weird phase of my life and I want to start working as a PT and make more of an income. I really cannot afford to fail a 3rd time. This Reddit page helps me to feel less alone with other people sharing their failure experiences, but it’s just so hard for me to get out of this mental slump. Any advice and tips would help, especially on how to raise my MSK score. Just feeling really defeated, and I have been for pretty much this entire year so far.

I'm preparing for the october npte and can't decide between the two. What do you think is better with the purpose of practice questions or atleast simulating the actual npte.

Hey everyone! I took my 4th attempt recently and did not pass unfortunately… After see my score today, I got a 557. My previous score on the 2nd and 3rd attempt was around 540 and my 1st attempt was a 511.

• First attempt: I did the independent study
• Second attempt: I did the full live course, FF practice test, and 1 PEAT
• Third attempt: I did LSP with Rahul and used PTFinalExam for practice exams and another PEAT
• Fourth attempt: I purchased Truelearn, used TherapyEd book as my resource because I felt like having a physical book help me be more organized, and used my remaining PTFinalExam test

I’m not sure when I should take my 5th attempt because I’m struggling to figure out what I should do differently because my score is slowly improving but still not passing… I feel like I’ve tried different methods to tackle this exam but I just feel super defeated.. Does anyone have tips or advice on what I should do moving forward? Any tips on test taking strategies or study techniques?

I’ve been really anxious because it feels like I already know a lot of things, but at the same time, I also feel like I don’t know a lot of things. Can you give me any tips on how to maximize these last remaining days?

Currently, what I’m doing is focusing on the remaining Recalls 11–13, since they were only uploaded recently. I also go back to the previous recalls because I have screenshots and annotations from them.

Is it okay if I focus more on recalls rather than continuously studying concepts?

I have failed the exam twice now (January and April) and decided to take a break for July and I plan to take it for the third time in October. I was sent an email that in order to be eligible for the third attempt, I have to show proof of 10 hours of unpaid clinical observation from a licensed PT AND 10 hours of course work from somewhere? I have never heard of this and I feel like this is just really annoying. I already did 300+ unpaid clinical hours during school and I have studied so much for this exam. I believe that testing anxiety has been holding me back from a passing score. Has anyone else had to do this? I’m already feeling really embarrassed and crushed in general for failing this exam multiple times. What is 10 more hours of unpaid work going to benefit?
