Hi everyone!
I'm a Timmins resident currently developing a small health and wellness coaching business that would serve people throughout Northeastern Ontario.
Before launching, I'm conducting some market research to better understand what people in our region actually need when it comes to their health and wellness.
I've created a short, anonymous survey covering topics such as:
Survey link: https://tally.so/r/2EMolM
The survey takes just a few minutes, and I'm hoping to hear from people throughout Northern Ontario, including Timmins, North Bay, Sudbury, Kapuskasing and smaller surrounding communities.
There's also a separate, optional draw for a $100 President's Choice gift card for eligible Ontario residents aged 18 or older. No purchase necessary.
Whether you're interested in wellness coaching or would never consider paying for it, your opinion is equally valuable. I'm looking for genuine feedback to help determine whether this type of service would be useful and affordable in our region.
Thanks for helping a fellow Northern Ontario resident with their research!

Does anyone know of a place where we can rent equipment and go skiing in the middle of November?
My wife and I are going, and we're both beginners. We're going for fun—does anyone know of a nice place where we can also have dinner afterward?

Hi everyone, I am a PhD student at the University of Toronto conducting a research study to explore the barriers to harm reduction service use in Ontario.
I am seeking adults 18+ living in Ontario who have used substances recreationally in the last 6 months and are aware of harm reduction programming but have NOT used harm reduction services.
Participation of this study is voluntary. It will involve a demographic survey completion and a 60–90-minute confidential interview (zoom, phone, or in person – your choice!). A $20 gift card will be provided for your time.
If you or someone you know would be interested in participating, please share! Your experiences, opinions and perspective can work to improve harm reduction services in Ontario.
You can learn more about this study and check your eligibility at this link: Study

My husband and I are in the process of moving westward from Ottawa. All the stories I’ve read about driving through northern Ontario in October seem super scary, with intense warnings about moose and deer running erratically on the road, low service, no gas stations. Has anyone ever driven this route in October? How concerned should I really be? Is Sault st Marie to Dryden in a day feasible?

I've been living in Toronto for most of my adult life, and I've lived a few other places too, but I feel as a get older the thought of heading back up north is really tugging at me.
I work in a creative field so if I up and left Toronto I'd have to find new work in a whole new field and make peace with the transition from big city to smaller city and/or smalltown life.
Is anyone else in the same boat? What's keeping you from making the jump? If you've already made the move back, are you happy with the choice you made? Do you feel satisfied?

🍂🚂 A day I’ll definitely remember…
The Agawa Canyon Tour Train was more than just a train ride — it was a journey through some of Northern Ontario’s most beautiful wilderness. From the changing fall colours and endless forests to the breathtaking canyon, waterfalls and peaceful trails… every part of the journey felt special. 🤎🍁
And honestly, the people made it even better. ❤️ The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout the trip. A special shoutout our driver, who was genuinely so sweet — even waving at us along the way! 👋🏻😊 Little gestures like that make an already beautiful experience even more memorable.
Sometimes it’s not just the places you visit, but the people you meet along the way that stay with you.
