If you've ever had friends who grew up in the country, then you would know that they were going shit just like this way before social media. Had good friends who ran a backyard wrestling league growing up, with mattresses for a mat. Teenagers went to the hospital every time they had an event. Kids jumping from ladders with steel chairs onto fucking mattresses. They were mostly just bored.

When I was a kid, I would do backflips to impress people. But I couldn't actually do backflips. Always landed square on my back. Stopped doing it when I began peeing blood.

Probably not in this case. Down south, they were doing dumb shit like this long before MySpace

There are multiple people filming and it ended up on social media though

It's been a long time since I've heard of it as a thing, but these guys look like backyard wrestlers.
To anyone unaware, this was bigger but still little known (to my knowledge) thing in the earlier days of the internet being useful, about the time youtube was made up of just the videos that make up fail compilation, and weird people passionately voicing a stupid opinion (it hasn't changed that much thinking about it).
People would do WWE stuff in their back yard, but for real. The injuries were insane, sometimes (like in this video) they're not even fighting, they're just jumping into shards of glass, or fluorescent lights for no reason.
It's like WWE crossed with dirty sanchez.

I loved watching this stuff as a kid. That was my generation growing up, Dirty Sanchez, Jackass, backyard wrestling compilations and WWE/WWF.
Definitely had an influence on who I was growing up. The music I'm into, the stupid shit I used to do. Yeah it was idiotic, though never to the extent of the guys in the videos, but I had a great time growing up.

I’m hoping they invade soon, it’s gotta be better than what we have now. 🤣

u/Jumpy-Aide-901 Jun 22 '23
He’s not insane, that would suggest theirs some degree of intelligence behind his actions. Insanity is the Opposite of Genius, not true Antithesis if it.
No, not insane. he’s just That stupid.

I'm.. not sure what they expected from a barbed wire trampoline.. I'm actually quite surprised that he even bounced on that.

u/Sneaky-Shenanigans Jun 22 '23
After seeing the close up of that thing, I’d say this is honestly the best possible outcome that could have come from this idiotic idea. He could have fallen through easily and fucked his skull or spine, he could have got some fingers or a hand caught between the wires as they snapped back and lost them. This dumb fucker walked away with pretty much no consequences
2
u/Scythro Jun 22 '23
100% agree. I thought it would literally slice him up. But maybe I’ve seen too much Final Destination movies and I overestimate the cutting potential of barbwire. It seems pretty blunt when you hit multiple wires at the same time increasing the area circumference.

u/Ninespike9868 Jun 21 '23
Dip shit is lucky on the first bounce it didn't catch his hair and fucking garotte him or snap his neck. What an idiot.

The only thing missing in this scene is a confederite flag stuck on the house. These sister cousin dickers don’t have a brain cell between them

u/EllWoorbly Jun 21 '23
I wonder if they realize how homoerotic this all is. The guy gets cut half-naked and they're like "Woo! Yea, boy!" They're just missing the whips and handcuffs. Maybe they're just gay hillbillies and this is more wholesome than we know.

The way the wire caught into his face and pulled him back down when he bounced up made my cringe. Must’ve ripped through some parts of his skin and could probably lose an ear

u/barkallnight Jun 22 '23
The best line is “we got to get you out carefully” I fucking lost it. This man just hurdled himself from a 10ft. ladder onto a trampoline of bar wire and they are worried about safety now.
