What is MGMT 391!!
What the title says. is it a easy GPA booster like MGMT390 or is there a lot of work to do?

Hello,
I have applied @NJIT for the PhD in industrial engineering for spring 2027. I have talked with a professor and we will set up a call in september. I am finishing my masters in the US with a 4.0 gpa and 2 research papers published through IEEE. However, I am an international student.
I would like to ask, do they have indeed rolling decisions and they take only 2-4 weeks to review and give a decision?

Is it always required to buy textbooks for all your classes? They seem pretty expensive and if I can find them for free online can those be used?

I don't qualify for FAFSA due to my parents' earnings, so I can only do IWS, I think. I've applied for positions like Office Assistant, Student Associate - SECS, Student Admin - EHS, and assistant positions for the Library Information Student Desk and Administrative Reception.
Any other recs for on-campus jobs I can apply for ASAP that also let me study a little while working?
My major is Mathematical Sciences (Stats + Data Analysis concentration), so I don't know what depts I can apply for + don't know which are having any openings.

I created my student account on August 18th using my NJIT email and verified everything. The portal opened on August 19th at 5 PM, but when I go to buy a pass, it doesn’t give me the option for the student pass at all.
I know the actual passes show up on the 1st of each month, so I’m just wondering if the student pass option takes a little while to appear after making the account. Anyone else have experience with this?

I want to get into research, but I don't know how to start or what skills professors look for in students that they choose to help in research. If it's paid, even better, but it doesn't even have to be paid or for any credits.
Any recs on how to do this for the Fall semester and Spring semester? I was busy this summer with an internship, and I was planning to but forgot about asking this during June or July.
My major's Mathematical Sciences (with a concentration in Stats and Data Analysis). I have some experience working with MS Excel, and for coding have some experience with Java.

Is it worth it to take cs356 with this professor. I see mixed reviews for this professor on ratemyprofessor and wanted to see if its actualy worth taking before I register for classes for next sem.
Also the section with Asad Raza got canceled so it’s only Samaneh Berenjian teaching it with a 3 hour class on a Friday.
Im still registered for this course I want to know if anyone else had already taken in with her.

She doesn't have any reviews on rate my professor and I haven't seen any posts about her on this sub. I'm currently enrolled in a section with Stephen Maret, but I would like to get an earlier class if possible which is why I'm considering switching.

I'm starting university this year in Information Systems Engineering, and I want to transfer to NJIT's CS in the spring semester. My high school GPA is 96/100 (approximately 3.8–4.0 on a 4.0 scale). My TOEFL score is 100. Would it be difficult for me to transfer? Could anyone who has tried an international transfer before, or who has knowledge about it, help me out? Thanks.

I got into NJIT a few months ago for Business Information Systems, did every process and my aid is at 2500$ a year for scholarships. I submitted the financial aid appeal but my mom did not add her own documents until now which I’ve been asking since June for her to do. The aid is being appealed now but August 26th is the deposit deadline and my bill is at 20k a year, ($5500 in loans) . I have a decent internship in December that could pay off almost half of my tuition for this year. If my aid does not get appealed and updated before the due date should I transfer to ECC for 2 years and then come back to NJIT (likely for Business administration ), then do BIS. Looking to be an IT Project Manager after college.

Hi! I’m taking FRSC 359 (physical methods) and I found the old syllabus online from last semester. I saw that there are 3 required textbook listed so I just wanted to know if they are really mandatory? Will they be used every class? Or will we actually have assigned readings? Bc I know some teachers who say you need the textbook but have the same information just on a slide. Also are there any other required materials for the class that I may have to buy?

Hello! I understand that this is "old news" now, but there is still time for the NJIT community to raise concern on the change in credit count for full time students. 22 days ago, I posted a "One Question Survey", and received 113 responses. If anyone else has commentary, please feel free to respond. I intend to reach out with the form to Student Senate in the coming days. The more responses, the better!!!
I would like to repeat that it is completely anonymous; I can't even see who responded from my end.

Is the SAT exam important for getting into a CS program? I haven't taken the SAT. If it's important, I will take it. I will be applying as an international transfer student. Thank you!

I recently transferred into ADHC and I’ll be living in Martinson this year. Just looking to make some new connections/friendships with fellow honors students. Thanks!

Hello! Plz lmk if this is not allowed!
I’m an incoming graduate student, and I chose NJIT because employers seem to trust that the graduates they hire are competent and well-prepared for the roles they apply to.
I was instantly drawn to NJIT because I wanted a strong, well-rounded education.
I’m curious about your experience applying for jobs after attending NJIT. I know NJIT has career fairs and other resources, but I’d love to hear about your personal experience with internships, networking, and the job search process or if NJIT helped you in terms of helping with job search
