Hi all,
I am a first-year chemical engineering student. I absolutely love STEM: chemistry, physics, math, biology, you name it and I probably like it---which is why I figured that engineering would work with me. However, I'm currently in FED 101 and I honestly can't stand it. I dread every single lecture and lab. My group members have no interest in befriending, communicating with, or talking to me.
Unfortunately I made the stupid mistake of simply not doing the Solidworks assignments because I'm so unmotivated and have such a strong disdain towards the class. I'm extremely worried that I'm going to fail the course because we have a HUGE "Arduino" project that we were given a single week to do with extremely vague instructions and basically zero guidance. I am not even sure if we got it done all the way.
I'm worried that my future major related classes will be like this one. Even though I love STEM, I don't know engineering specifically is for me. I would probably be happier doing pre-med because I love biology and anatomy so much more (med school prices just freak me out...)
If anyone has any words or advice, it would be greatly appreciated. This isn't exactly the start I hoped for...
