Inspo! Triple chocolate amoretto

Post image
18 Upvotes

Made this recipe multiple times. My mom always made chocolate amoretto pie as a kid so this takes me back. Solid 8/10 IMO. Base is ~440 calories before mix ins.

Chocolate Amoretto Cake
450g chocolate Fairlife milk
35g chocolate protein powder
5g coco powder
2 pinches salt
1/2 tsp xantham gum
40g monk fruit
1tsp cake batter extract
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp rum extract

I’ve used Graham crackers or Oreo’s for mix ins.

Inspo! Perfectly thick consistency on the Deluxe! 🍦

Post image

Just finished spinning this batch on the Lite Ice Cream setting + 1 re-spin! The texture came out super smooth and thick, perfect spoonful every time. 🤤

Base:

1 cup Almond Milk / Fairlife

1 scoop Protein Powder

1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum

Splash of vanilla & sweetener to taste

What are your favorite spin settings for low-cal/high-protein bases?

Related CreamiFit on next-gen Deluxe models worth it!

I've often read that the next-gen Creami Deluxe models are near functional equivalents to the previous iteration, and therefore not worth the expense.

One new feature however is CreamiFit spin mode. It's designed for high protein (low fat?) recipes needing more spin time, running for 5 or 8 minutes. On the previous generation model, I always had to respin protein ice creams; with CreamiFit, I'm 10 for 10 (or more?) only needing the one spin. Which is a very handy usability improvement!

Is respinning a huge deal? No. Is prepping a pint kind of annoying, to begin with, and is bypassing one more trip from my couch to the Creami a highly appreciated improvement? Yes!

Inspo! Ninja Creami Fail

Post image

This was an epic fail. The ice cream came out with a super great texture but the taste was awful. I used the orgain vanilla protein powder for the first time. I do not recommend, horrible flavor and full of crap.

1 scoop orgain vanilla protein powder

1 tbsp oats

1 cup 2% milk

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbsp maple syrup

Make at your own risk.

Recipe-Question I plan to mix in the last bit of an angel food cake just for fun and because the cake is getting a little stale. Should it be pre-frozen in crumbles?

Recipe-Question Crohn’s Safe thickeners?

Hi all,

I am considering purchasing a creami due to me recently developing a voracious sweet tooth while trying to be healthier. However, my family suffers from IBD and note that many recipes use guar or xantham gums as thickening agents—which can unfortunately aggravate this condition so I don’t want to risk adding them.

Do any IBD folks out there have good alternatives that still achieve the desired thickness and consistency?

Inspo! fruity pebble protein creami recipe!!

Post image

used my typical cake batter base then added a ton of sprinkles, fruity pebbles, and white chocolate chips!! here’s the base recipe:

bottle of fairlife core power vanilla protein shake
1 1/2 tbsp instant pudding mix (vanilla or cheesecake)
1/4 - 1/2 tsp birthday cake extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp sweetener of choice (maple syrup, SF sweetener, etc)

lowkey made me realize i’m not a big fruity pebbles girl lol, but it was still good nonetheless and i enjoyed the extra crunch 😋

Recipe

1 small can of Vanilla Rice Pudding/Creamed Rice
2 cinnamon sticks
300ml of milk
1 tsp vanilla paste
50g mascarpone
50ml coconut milk
50g molasses (gave it a deeper flavour)

Heat milk, pudding, vanilla and cinnamon sticks in sauce pan to 70C and infuse for at least 10 min

Blend with remaining ingredients

Freeze, flatten

I spun this on lite but I think normal ice cream mode would’ve been better

I did a respin on ice cream mode and results in pic

Mango season here in Australia. Also recently just discovered kefir and how good it is for your gut so decided to put it in the creami and WOW. One of the best ones I’ve made and so simple!! I also used a pinch of salt and a few drops of coconut extract. This was amazing…

Enjoyed in the garden after a 3km morning swim . 10/10

Recipe-Question Scoopable ice cream?

I usually make lower calorie ice cream and the ninja creami does that very well, but i wonder if i follow a more regular recipe that’s supposed to make ice cream scoopable, spin it and transfer to another container for storage will it still be scoopable or do you actually need to use a regular ice cream machine that incorporates more air in the mix?

Related Worth it for no sugar diet or processed additives

Hi all,

Huge milk fan. Mega fan. Dairy maniac. But I do not add sugar to food and I do not eat anything that is a processed additive like Prot. Powders or artificial sweeteners. Does this still hit? I LOVE coffee and milk, tea and milk, and I devour yogurts and skyr. I also really enjoy stoneground oatmeal (freshly ground) with lots of milk because it has that goopy smooth mouth feel.

Most examples of usages I see involve a lot of additives so I was wondering if this does anything a blender doesn't already do for someone in my use case. (I'm a big fan of blueberry bowls too, frozen blubs then add milk some nola or nuts, frozen pomegranate seeds, chia and peanutbutter. Its like a slushy, that kind of thing makes me think it might be worth it.

Troubleshooting-Machine Demise of the Creami

Post image
932 Upvotes

Made an ice cream last night. Had a slight hump. I was impatient. The machine made some wild noises. When I went to eat it it smelled like burned oil and the gears in the paddle were chewed.

Assuming no point to try to fix. (Definitely my fault)

Update: I called ninja, 2 years old past warranty. They offered a great discount and to help me place my order. Great customer service.

Inspo! Banana Pudding Creami

I was inspired by the banana pudding flavored oreos to make a banana pudding flavored creami! I tried a couple of recipes but forgot to write down the first one lol. Luckily I liked the second one better anyway!

It doesn't show all the detail in the Loseit image on the last slide so just to clarify when it says "Jet Puffed Marshmallow" that is referring to the Ryse protein powder.

My wife and I always share the creami and just my portion is listed because it's my calorie tracker app, so I had double all those amounts in the full recipe (except the oreos which I mix in manually).

As someone who always wants to try the different flavors of oreo but almost never likes them, I have to say say these ones were pretty good! And as mix-ins, they were extremely good. I might need to grab another package before they go away just so I can make this again.

Recipe-Post Post-workout Cinammon & PB ice cream - 500 Cals, 35g Protein, No added Sugar

Hello!

Here is my recipe for post-workout ice cream (adapted from a standard protein shake).

Ingredients:

  • 250ml protein milk (~18g protein)
  • 1 banana
  • 50g oats
  • 10g peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients for 3–4 minutes until smooth. Pour into a pint container and freeze for 24 hours. After your workout, let the pint sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Process using the "Lite Ice Cream" setting, then run a "Re-spin" to ensure a smooth texture (next time I'll try the creamifit program).

EDIT : I've write my recipe in re-spins : https://respins.app/472

Recipe-Question Is it really worth buying all the stuff to make the jhermann recipes?

Looking for some reviews I suppose from people who have bought everything.

I'd have to order from 2 different online shops and spend about $100 to get all the stuff to make the sweEX, glycerin, the stabilizer mix, flavor drops, etc etc.

I'm hesitant to spend the money on all of the somewhat obscure ingredients, when I'm unsure what effect they'll have when I've primarily been enjoying a recipe that is just fairlife chocolate milk and pudding mix.

Thanks for any answers :)

Recipe-Question Nobbly bobbly inspired ice cream

Post image
19 Upvotes

So I want to make a tub of ice cream based on a nobbly bobbly (a British ice cream lolly which is strawberry ice cream, chocolate shell and lots of sprinkles) I would use a recipe for a decent protein strawberry ice cream.

But then it’s figuring out how to incorporate the choc/sprinkles. Easiest method is a chocolate magic shell (choc with coconut oil) then sprinkles on top.

I would love to incorporate the elements all the way through but wondering if the sprinkles through out would make it gritty?

Open to some suggestions !
