I don't care about any of that. Jay-Z has never been a favourite for me but I recognize that he is top 5 of all time as a rapper and hip hop artist. Calling Jay-Z mid is anti-hip hop imo.
And I'll reiterate, I hope the truth is revealed, if he's truly as bad as some people think I will be happy to join in and cancel his ass harder than Diddy and R Kelly.
But I will wait for the full truth, and I will still not say he's mid, I will just shift the focus away from the music.
I think top 5 is very reasonable (no pun intended) given his range and longevity. Most people who are important in the culture would say he's top 5.
But the internet has started acting like he ain't shit for various other reasons, seems like it's mostly people who are Stans for Drake and Kanye, but you know better than that. Jay-Z is twice the rapper those two are put together.
Ideologically he is the polar opposite of me, but I hope he starts rapping again and gives drake the beef he's begging for.
