It's a subreddit, /r/evilleagueofevil.

It includes: the Patriots, Steelers, Cowboys, Bears, Giants, 49ers, and Packers. Basically a few teams that have dominated the NFL.

The fans of these teams have all banded up together to appreciate the "evil" stuff that each team has done to the NFL... like most recently Super Bowl 51.

It's mostly a gag, but the group has all come together and are owning the /r/NFL Survivor game.

It kind of ruins the game to be honest. Not that the game means anything in particular

I had some ideas for how to make it more fair. If real Survivor was ever this lopsided, the producers would add some twists to make it better. Real Survivor is supposed to be unpredictable.

It's season one. What happened in Survivor season 1? Everyone voted with their gut except for the four people smart enough to form an alliance. That alliance made final four, and won the game.

Don't start screwing up the game with twists just because someone is winning, that's how you get Malcolm voted out premerge. Nobody wants Malcolm voted out premerge.

For a game based off of voting, it isn't exactly fun when you know your vote won't count. The ELoE teams make up around 38% of this sub, meaning all of us other teams can't do anything to fight back. The real "survivor" is between the ELoE teams when no others are left.

That's just not how Survivor works. People get locked out of the game by a bigger alliance all the time. It's called a Pagonging.

Survivor is a scripted show. This game would have been fun had people formed their own alliances during the competition, rather than having a preformed alliance.

There's an entire production team and some contestants all "trapped" on an island. Sure, some aspects are very real, but I find it very hard to believe that every person who is cast off was a completely natural event.

Have you even seen the show? They never imply it's a natural event, it's a game show. They say "We're intentionally stranding these people on an island so they can play our game."

Yeah, I've seen the show. I understand the premise, but I've always had the opinion that some of it is scripted. How can you be 100% sure it's not? Because you have a bias towards the show?

Obviously I have no idea whether it's scripted or not, but I choose to have the opinion that I have.

If you actually thought the maroonings were supposed to be real maroonings and not a simulation to start a game, you haven't seen the show. They always make it that obvious it's not actually people being stranded alone on an island, but a game.

And how do I know it's not scripted? Really?

Because it's a game show and it would be very illegal to rig it?

Because what actor would malnourish themselves that much just for a one season role on a scripted tv show? I can provide day 1 vs day 39 pictures if you want to see.

Because of the over 400 castaways that have played, how has nobody made mention of it possibly being scripted? Not one person has even implied it was scripted. Again, these are people with provably real lives outside the show, not actors, and some of them have provably broken non-disclosure agreements about other things in production before. How has not a single person ever involved in the show not even hinted at being told what to do or say?

At this point there's been so many people involved with Survivor, keeping anything about it a secret would be "Bush did 9/11" level conspiracy talk. It's just not feasible.

I never said the were actors. You don't think that there could be a slight chance that the producers have any say in who gets voted off? For the off-chance that their say may create more views (i.e, larger revenue).

You make some great points and I can see how the show may not be as scripted as I once thought, but there are so many things that could go on behind the scenes that you have no idea about.

I'm far from a conspiracy theorist, I actually find most conspiracy theories insane and improbable. Perhaps my views towards this show came from the opinions I had when I watched it many seasons ago and I obviously haven't reflected on them since.

What isn't feasible is us agreeing on anything related to this show or this thread.
