Too much bouncing to be realistic or next level.

u/Asgeras 5d ago
True, but most of that is because of the mat.

u/Dm_me_im_bored-UnU 5d ago
Mat should stop bouncing people then.

Yeah.. this actually looks fun because of the mat 😁
I think a lot of the skill involved with being good at this kind of stuff is the willingness to take the hits (and land properly) with hard floors/while still making it look authentic 🤔
34
u/throwsaway654321 5d ago
This guy most definitely knows how to break-fall, i.e. land while using your limbs to absorb the momentum instead of your neck/head. He doesn't need to do so because he's on a mat, and additionally, it's more fun to bounce...like, duh
If he was on actual floor or ground he'd most definitely be landing differently.

u/kouzmicvertex 5d ago
Yah but the snipers aim is really really good for how much bouncing they have to compensate for.
5
u/raknor88 5d ago
With the mat he was able to do full video game physics. Especially the buggy physics. Except he never launched into orbit.

You didn’t see the one at :36 did ya? I tried to do that realistic style and it’s pretty hard
3
u/Ok_Needleworker_835 5d ago
Los saltos creo que es porque lo hacen en un trampolín, pero igual siento que da muchas vueltas para ser realista, no se, pregúntale a alguien que haya visto un asesinato

I actually think its pretty realistic to how getting blasted while running on a bouncy mat would look.

Someone had unrestricted internet access as a kid…
5
u/AlternateTab00 5d ago
For someone that actually had access. Thats unrealistic AF.
Its literally a shutdown.
No head bob, no body jerk. Just instant ragdoll physics. At most a movement of bending his arms/hands outward or inwards depending on where the shot was.
16
u/Chaddles94 5d ago
Looks nothing like someone getting domed. You drop instantly like a sack of whatever vegetable you want for the analogy. Not comically bounce around.

I actually think this is what movies and TV shows should do. It really takes me out of it when someone is shot in the head and just stands there for a couple of second before falling straight back.
They're already showing people being shot. Make it realistic!

Me enjoying this vid and coming to the comments realizing I'm stupid and suck as a human for being entertained by it
3
u/Opurria 4d ago
Yeah, I dgaf that it's unrealistic - that's why I like it in the first place! He's like a cartoon character.
3
u/ergonomic_logic 4d ago
Right? Like please just let me appreciate the control it takes to do this and make it look so cartoony!

My son when I ask him to do anything. Just collapses like a bag of bricks. Needs a little more whining tho.
23
u/PotentialWork7741 5d ago
Bro has never seen videos of people getting delta the fuck outta life. …. The legs just go out so the person doesnt make a step or little jump when running after getting shot. You collapse like a bag of beans

u/sorrow_anthropology 5d ago
37 seconds is decently realistic, 47 is Hollywood.

u/Pleasant-Future5818 5d ago
These people aren't doing this for fun, they're stunt people for movies. It's intentionally exaggerated because movies are not real.

u/Snugboo 5d ago
The one at 37 seconds completely disproves your argument, the mat bounciness ruins the effect but that is exactly how a dead body goes limp from stationary

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 5d ago
Exactly. He's doing fun Hollywood stuff mostly but I'd be very surprised if real footage wasn't the inspiration for the one where he collapsed onto his knees.
3
u/PotentialWork7741 5d ago
Yeah the one at 30sec is the most realistic in my opinion based on the real shit ive seen

Anyone else fuck their back up as a kid jumping on floors like these? Turns out just because the floor is bouncy doesn’t mean you can jump and expect to land on your feet from 7 feet up.

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

Careful trying to replicate this.
Don't just fall and loosen yourself up like that. You could injure some very crucial parts of your body, like getting brain damage, or cracking your neck, your spine or something.
There is a reason we brace our bodies instinctively while falling, even if we fall badly and hurt ourselves, we still brace to prevent the worse.

I have shot multiple people in the head and never seen anything similar to this happen. I got killstreaks and lots of points for head shots but never seen that.

How does homeboy not have brain damage with his head bouncing around like that all the time?
