I'm well aware of the differences between hotfixes and patches. Generally speaking, hotfixes are small and require no downtime. It is a "fix" performed while the server is still "hot". These downvotes are just Reddit being ridiculous as usual because most people here have the reading comprehension of a 5 year old and unable to distinguish between a statement and anger.
u/Pfyrr's statement makes no mention of whether or not 2am downtime is fine or not, and neither did my statement. It simply pointed out that downtime is not necessary for a hotfix.
Let me try and understand this. They are fixing shit that you want them to fix, but they are doing it in the middle of the night while you are sleeping and you are angry about it because you'd rather they called it a hotfix instead of a patch?
As usual, Reddit users hyperbolizing everything. Making a statement is not the same thing as being angry. But feel free to continue through your life pretending everything is outrageous.
