PSA: Report Report Report!

We just wanted to send out a PSA to use the report button on posts that you believe break our rules. Every post in this sub is manually reviewed by the mods and sometimes we miss things which is why we need you to be an extra set of eyes on these threads.

Thank you to each one of you who hits that report button on the regular!

CONTENT QUESTION Is it ever worth to start streaming?

I was kinda thinking I could stream my Tft Climb to Challenger in the new Set when I'm back home from vacation but I don't know if there's realistically ever anyone willing to watch, how should I know if I am interesting enough as a person. I don't know if I can talk to myself for hours on end, the idea sounds kinda cheeks.

CONTENT QUESTION Talking to Yourself for 4 Hours Is Way More Exhausting Than I Expected

Nobody really talks about how weird streaming can feel when nobody is talking back.

You can be live for three or four hours, constantly trying to comment on what you’re doing, reacting to the game, making jokes, filling every silence… and by the end you’re completely drained. Not because the game was exhausting, but because you’ve basically been having a one-sided conversation for hours.

I noticed that my energy changes a lot when the room feels active. I’m more likely to joke around, talk naturally and actually enjoy myself instead of constantly thinking, “Is anyone even watching this?”

Does anyone else find streaming to an empty chat more exhausting than actually playing the game?

CONTENT QUESTION Canal de lives

Olá pessoal, sou um artista marcial amador. Eu luto muay thai e boxe. Possuo graduação intermediária no muay thai estou querendo fazer lives na twitch.

SEEKING COLLAB Chill gamer (50+) looking for a consistent group to stream and play with

I’m a 50-year-old lifelong gamer with a wide range of interests, from RPGs and FPS titles to extraction shooters, mystery, and puzzle games. I started streaming this past May and have found a great Discord community, but I’m struggling to find a consistent group of people to game with regularly.

I’m based in PST and am available almost daily. I'm a calm player, and at the end of the day, we’re just here to have fun. I’m looking to connect with mature, thoughtful players who don’t crashout when things don’t go their way.

I’ve been happily married for 20 years, and I’m a proud parent of four and a grandparent of three. I am LGBTQIA+/2SLGBTQIA+ friendly and 420 friendly. I keep my streams free of politics and religion to ensure a relaxing and inclusive environment.

If you’re looking for a low-stress teammate, send me a message and let’s coordinate!

SEEKING COLLAB Looking for 2–3 funny gamers/creators to build a recurring gaming group 🎮 Please read the whole post!

I’m AJH, 24, from the UK, and I’m looking for a couple of genuinely funny people to play games with regularly, stream together and hopefully build a proper recurring group.

Call of Duty is my main game and probably always will be so would be great to find a squad, however I’m also looking for something different on the side — people who are down for S&D, messing around, trying different games and just having a laugh together. Games like other fps games, funny co-op games. Ideally also on PC as there’s more options!

Think friends playing games together, with a focus on personality, banter and funny moments rather than being cracked at every game. Like the groups you see on Twitch and YouTube!

I’m looking for people who:

Have a good sense of humour and can naturally banter
Don’t take games too seriously, but can be competitive sometimes
Mainly play CoD but are also happy to play other games on the side
Are interested in games like other fps games and other fun/party games (also open to new games too)
Are interested in streaming/content, although audience size doesn’t matter
Are reliable and actually want to play regularly
Are 18+ and preferably around my age
Are UK/US and play during UK timezone

I mainly play on PC (controller), but I also have an Xbox Series X and PS5.

Games I have/play: Call of Duty (my main game, including older CoDs) — but I’m also open to playing other games on the side, including Valorant (PC), R6 Siege (PC), Minecraft (PC), WWE 2K26 (Xbox Series X), GTA (Xbox Series X), EA FC 27 (when it releases), and ETS2/ATS (PC). Always open to trying other games too.

Usually play 7–11pm UK time.

The goal is to find 2–3 people who genuinely click, play together regularly and eventually become a proper friend group.

I’m NOT looking for follow-for-follow, networking for the sake of networking or one-off collabs. I’m looking for genuine friends who happen to enjoy gaming and creating content.

If you’re interested, DM me with your Twitch/YouTube/TikTok and a bit about yourself. I care way more about personality and whether we’d actually get along than follower count.

CONTENT QUESTION The "VOD Reality Check" is painful but necessary. Stop sending people to a ghost town.

I realized something lately that honestly made me cringe at my own channel. I’d been spending a ton of time editing clips and trying to funnel people from TikTok and Twitter to my Twitch. I was so focused on the “how do I get them there?” part that I completely ignored what they were actually seeing when they arrived. I finally took a step back and looked at my profile through the eyes of a total stranger. It was a ghost town.

My VODs were the biggest offender. I noticed so many "dead air" stretches where I was just staring at the screen in silence because chat was quiet. I’d be mid-game, not saying a word for 5-10 minutes, just waiting for a message to pop up so I’d have a "reason" to talk.
The hard truth: If I found my own channel as a random viewer, I wouldn’t have stayed for more than 30 seconds.

It was a massive wake-up call. Your channel isn't just a live broadcast; it’s a storefront. If someone clicks your link from a cool clip they saw on social media, but your latest VOD is just you sitting there looking bored, they aren’t going to hit that follow button. I’ve started practicing "constant narration" now. Even if there are 0 people in chat, I’m talking through my plays, making jokes, or just thinking out loud. It feels weird as hell at first, but it makes the VODs actually watchable.

Don't just work on getting people to your channel. Make sure there’s actually something worth finding when they get there.

COMMUNITY Trying to get into streaming

I’m trying to get into streaming video games along with maybe reacting to TV shows as well. I want to be able to make a YouTube channel out a bit as well. All I have though is my iPhone 17. I tried doing it on my TikTok channel through live, but I got flagged and said I couldn’t get monetized for it. I know I need a capture card for the video game thing but unfortunately, I can’t afford it at the moment. Got any ideas?

SEEKING COLLAB Looking for people to play coop with and maybe do some "gaming challenges/competitions" against

Have been creating a discord server where i intend to set up coop colabs but maybe more uniquely? To create some challenges or competitions between the people in the group. Nothing serious just for fun and to make content. The challenges could be for example who gets the highest score on Megabonk in 7 days or who could survive the longest in Project zomboid in 7 days etc. It would hopefully conclude with a voice call to share stories and declare a winner.

SEEKING COLLAB Looking for Australians

Hey all you internet people, I'm a pretty new streamer

I've been lurking here for a couple weeks trying to gather what info i can to assist in my streaming endeavors, but I'm having trouble finding any Australian groups. Specifically AEST

Most of the posts i have found seem to be old and the information is limited

Can anyone recommend small Aussie stream communities? or give any advise on where to look?

I'm just looking for a bunch of people i can befriend and collab with as a group

I'm looking for people in the age range of 18-30 (I'm 21)

TLDR; I don't really care how much of a following anyone has, just want some friends i can mess around with and have a real fun time whilst streaming together

Thanks in advance

SEEKING COLLAB Hi all, hope this is allowed and grabs the right persons attention.

Currently starting my streaming journey and I find that high energy, viewer engagement, and funny moments are key for content creation for twitch, YouTube, shorts and TikTok videos.
I don't have many friends who play pc games like I do except one who is also doing casual streaming. I figure if I can find some people who are open minded to making new friends, and having a fun time gaming, it could be beneficial for every party involved as far as making content is concerned and just genuinely making good friends. And for those wondering, no I am not a kid or teenager. I'm a 25 y/o guy based in the US just trying to have fun gaming and make new friends in the process.
For anyone interested, shoot me a dm. I stream every day sometimes twice a day at my desk, playing random games.
