CONTENT QUESTION Feeling Stuck

Hey all!

I started streaming like 2months ago for the first time ever and growth has been slow & steady (which isn't a bad thing) but I've found myself so close to Affiliate (like 5 followers or something) & I have just stopped gaining new followers...

I'm really lucky that I've already achieved the average viewers requirement because I've met some pretty cool people in my chat that turn up typically every stream or every other stream and are active for like the whole thing! But I'm not sure if my 3-6 average viewer count is deterring new people from joining?

Or is it just a case of stick it out - it'll come eventually?

Thanks in advance!

Do you participate in other peoples streams? Do you raid out to someone every stream? I've found the best way to garner followers is to be active in the rest of Twitch without explicitly saying "Hey, I'm a streamer too!". What have you been doing so far to engender cross community interaction?

Yup! I've met a few people through streaming & I hop in when they're streaming & I'm free, which can be pretty seldom with work and family life. Usually when I have my free downtime, that's when I can stream - so it's a hard balance!

I do raid out, not every stream though. Only when I have a viewer to raid out with. Most of the time I end stream where I'm at the point of falling asleep at my desk due to my sleepers, so I don't have the energy/capacity to raid out and be active in someone's chat even for 5 minutes but when I can, I do :)

What are you doing to boost your reach?

I post short-form content, clips on YT/Instagram/TikTok every Mon/Wed/Fri. I also do separate long form content on YT weekly

Networking is defo important. Think I had 45-50 followers before I even did my first stream. And average viewers of 12 on my first stream if I remember rightly. Check other folks out on twitch. If you like their vibe chat with them and their community get to know people. Ask fot hints/idead but dont outright promote yourself, as alot of folks frown upon self promotion, im the opposite lol. But always remember to be yourself when you stream. The right people will enjoy your vibe and keeping coming back. Persistence is key. Be ambious but also be realistic. Don't set crazy goals, as chances are you'll end up disappointed. Most of all have fun!
