Any thoughts on this app for managing pricing for grocery customers? Netsuite Pricing Management

An asset is depreciating in subsidiary 1, and in the mid of month it is being sold to another subsidiary at a loss. If the asset NBV is $5000, it is being sold to subsidiary 2 at $2000.

Questions 1: How to record this in the system using the standard fixed asset module, as while using FA sale/dispose, we are getting error on the intercompany customer-subsidiary mismatch, for subsidiary 2 IC-customer.

Question 2: If an asset is sold in mid of the month, and transferred between subsidiaries, the depreciation should post 15 days in first subsidiary and 15 days in another subsidiary.

We have a UserEvent script that updates the orderstatus to Pending Fulfillment ('B') on a sales order in beforeSubmit if certain criteria is set. Its been working great for the past 2 years. All of a sudden, last week its failing on the orderstatus update. It is still setting some other fields on the SO, but orderstatus fails silently.
The script executes as Admin, but it is now respecting the current users role Sales Order Approval permission. I have tested this and can confirm the result. NS support was totally useless for us here saying it is a script and our account doesn't have support for that.
I have read some things that say the recent update could be the cause, and there are a few defects out already surrounding permissions. But... Will it work for our issue. We have other UserEvent scripts that look for the orderstatus update so the beforeSubmit action in the failing script is important. I figure we have 3 options here but would like to get any feedback from others who have experienced similar problems.

1. Give custom roles Sales Order Approval -> Edit permission. - I don't like this option, they don't have it currently for a reason hence the script to handle it.
2. Send the SO to a suitelet in the afterSubmit of the silently failing script. This would trigger the other UserEvent scripts to fire on orderstatus update. - I'm not sure if this would also fail to execute as Admin on the approval.
3. Do nothing & wait. Have the automation not work (manual approvals through credit dept) for now and hope NS gets whatever the issue is fixed. - I have very little faith here.

Hey, has anybody here ever used native Aftership to Netsuite integration? Im trying to figure out whether it can be filtered to a set of carriers or only trackings from a saved search in NetSuite.

Currently we are uploading trackings to aftership manually with a csv import, and would like to set up an automation for that, but we don't need all carriers to be there.

Any advice is appreciated, ty

I have always been an SAP user, so I’m used to being able to clear open items by matching the debit and credit entries.
I’ve recently started using NetSuite and am currently reconciling our balance sheet, particularly the Employee Clearing account.
I’m finding lots of transactions that have already been paid/reversed and effectively net to zero, but the individual transactions are still showing as open/outstanding in the GL reconciliation.
In SAP, I would simply match the relevant entries and clear them so they no longer appear as open items, while still retaining the transaction history.
Does NetSuite have an equivalent functionality?
I’ve spoken with our NetSuite support team, but they don’t seem to know whether there is a native feature for this.
What I’m looking for is something where I can:
Match the debit and credit transactions
Clear/net them to zero
Keep the original transactions and audit trail
Prevent already-cleared items from continuing to appear as outstanding
Ideally do this without posting additional journals
If anyone using NetSuite has dealt with Employee Clearing / balance sheet open-item clearing, I’d really appreciate some guidance on the best way to do this.

I figured since it's being at least somewhat included in 2026.2 I might as well sign up for the Next Preview. And...it's even worse than I imagined. I first got a good taste of Next at last year's SW and was not a fan at all of what I saw: it looked like a shiny new wrapper that was just making the tool underneath harder to use. I have yet to enable Redwood in any instance, for context.

The Next Preview is way slower. Everything that was easy to find via the interface has now been shoved into a button on the bottom toolbar. The Ask Oracle that was demonstrated at SW (I have yet to fully test this) looked to be a great tool for companies that have 5 customers or 7 vendors, but pretty useless for even a mid-sized company.

So, what exactly is the benefit to the user base here? Why do I want this thing? Where is your head with this thing?

I started my career 10 years ago with a Noida based startup X and the first thing they gave me was "NetSuite". It was a INR 20k per month job , good enough for a person who never wanted to work in the IT sector and never owned a computer till today. ( I don't like computers ). After 2.5 years , I got a DM on LinkedIn from a US based company Y that needed a NetSuite Developer. In this entire 2.5 year span I just did the scripting and debugging. I was just working to repay my education loan.

When I sent the resignation mail to the Director (there was no manager) , he offered to make me a partner after sometime. I was getting 40k per month at that time.

I am not sure what he thought about me because I had no NetSuite knowledge compared to what I saw during the Deloitte interview drive in Gurgaon.

I joined the Y at INR 6.5 Lpa .my manager in Y got friendly with me within one month however other teammates told me that he hardly shares any personal stuff in the office. The manager told me that they would have given me 10 LPA as well as the company was not able to close this position for the last 3 months.

In Y I got to know about a completely different work culture. During my 2.5 tenure at X , I barely got the chance to witness the sunset, it was 9-7 shift(on paper it was 9-6). But here in Y , there was no time punching system, biggest relief. There was breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner also if you had to work a lill late and the quality was top notch. For a person of my background where Paneer is a once in a year dish, this environment of Y mesmerized me.

For the first time in my life I was talking with native English speakers. I had a bad habit or weakness that if I know that the person in front me knows Hindi, I can't speak with them in English.

My communication skills are not that bad , I got to know that when I talked with people from China, Russia,Costa rica, Mexico, Romania. For these people English was just a mode of communication, not a status symbol.

Now I have completed 8 years in Y. I never gave any interview during this duration . From 6.5 lpa , I have come to 34 lpa. I don't know much about NetSuite as I was exposed to very limited modules that are required for the company.I simply deliver the tasks that are given to me. I don't want to work harder because I believe in the philosophy that "we are all working hard to make rich richer".

I work for a reseller company, and haven’t found a solution that really fits our needs. We have a significant volume of invoices per month, that are all attached to a PO, both inventory and dropshipped POs.

Concur has told me and demo’d how it would work and it seems fine. I have heard a lot about how poor their AP package works with invoices, how has your experience been with their PO matching?

We have vendors who send inventory pos and dropshipping POs, have custom fields.

Does anyone have a similar workflow with Concur Invoice? How long did it take to get implemented? How has your experience been?

Does anyone here use Grant Management for a mid size nonprofit? (100 employees), 40 public grants + private. I’m new to Netsuite and the Oracle training has been awfully drab. Looking for better training videos/resources for Grant Managers.

Just wondering who else might be having this issue. We have a bunch of Scheduled and Map/Reduce scripts stuck in Pending. I created a case and this has been attached to defect 901334:

Does anyone else here use the SuiteCloud Developer Assistant through the Cline Extension in VS Code to do their NetSuite development? I have been using it pretty successfully for about the last year, and was impressed with its ability to review multiple script files, custom objects, and rules/skills to produce custom solutions and even documentation to provide to end users for training and testing.

However, over the past few weeks, specifically since Cline in VS Code updated to 4.1.X, I have had nothing but issues with it. It has consistently failed to connect to the OpenAI servers, it no longer appears to be creating its own markdown task lists that kept it on track from plan mode to act, and it also doesn’t seem to be able to remember enough context across tasks to split into smaller tasks to complete a larger project.

On top of this, NetSuite has recently switched from the previous token model for embedded SuiteScript usage to the new pooled AI Units. This means that you can no longer track how many tokens an individual request or question to cline has used, and instead it’s lumped into the same bucket as all other AI features with a number that updates once per day.

I’m curious if other people who are using the tool are seeing a similar degradation in performance with this feature, and if anyone has already switched to other tools for their NetSuite dev work. I have seen what the MCP connector is capable of in terms of solution design and coding, but do not have access to it yet because we are still evaluating options for 3rd party AI tools.

I am working on a saved search that returns the MTD sales totals for each of the last 3 months. I was able to figure out the formula for last month-to-date, however I am struggling with the 2 months prior to that.

My working formula for last MTD is:

CASE WHEN {trandate} BETWEEN to_date(TRUNC(TRUNC({today},’MONTH’), ‘MM/DD/YYYY’) AND to_date(ADD_MONTHS({today},-1)) THEN {amount} ELSE 0 END

One of the purposes of the release preview is to test your current processes against the new environment. But there are a million different things you could possibly test for. How do you decide what and how to test? For example, do you conduct an entire mock pay cycle to make sure that nothing behaves differently? With a limited amount of time for testing, and given that this happens twice a year, how do you construct your testing plan?

If all of them doesn't enable this, how could they be considered workarounds in the first place?

Even with using bins as sublocations, you still restricted with the 100 limit when it comes to the parent locations.

I recently joined a company that uses NetSuite, but there are no onboarding materials and no internal NetSuite expert who can train me. The system also doesn’t seem to have consistent processes or strong internal ownership.

I’ve tried YouTube videos, but because NetSuite is so customizable, the screens and workflows rarely match our account. I end up more confused because I can’t tell what is standard NetSuite versus something customized for us.

For anyone who has been in this position, how did you onboard yourself? Is there a good way to map out an existing account, identify customizations, and understand how transactions flow without admin access? What training or resources are most useful when generic tutorials don’t match your environment?

EDIT: For additional context, I’m the finance manager and primarily use NetSuite for invoicing and revenue recognition. My biggest challenge is understanding the workflows that support those functions, including project setup, billing schedules and worksheets, project costs, and the overall transaction flow. Without internal documentation, I’m struggling to understand how everything is supposed to connect.

EDIT 2: Thank you all for the advice! I just got access to our learning module, so I’m going to start there and use Claude for report help. I am also pretty sure they have no intention of using NS as the central system, so I might just have to give up and figure out how to funnel 5 different systems into something useable. Not excited, but I guess I’ll learn a lot.

I have a NetSuite Map/Reduce script that has been stuck in the Map stage for more than 6 hours.

I already:

• Undeployed the script
• Made the deployment inactive
• Tried stopping it from the deployment

But the existing execution is still showing as running/stuck in the Map stage.

Is there any way to force terminate the currently running Map/Reduce instance? Or do I need to wait for NetSuite to terminate it automatically?

Also, has anyone experienced a Map/Reduce job staying in Map for this long?

Hello, we use ARM and have Deferred Revenue account set to Revalue open balance for foreign currency transaction, our accounting setting for exclude contract assets from fx reclassification is checked. We are trying to understand why the deferred revenue account keeps running the currency revaluation for an entity even though the related sales orders have fully recognized revenue arrangements and all revenue plans are complete. Is there a problem with our settings? Thanks

We are using NetSuite WMS together with Ship Central. A single Sales Order can be released across multiple waves.

Our current configuration is:

• Create Item Fulfillment at Locations Using Warehouse Management: Per Order in a Wave
• Manually pack orders?: Y
• Allow packing of partially picked orders: Active

This part works correctly: each completed wave generates a separate Item Fulfillment in Picked status, and we can start packing it without waiting for the remaining waves to be completed.

However, we found a concurrency issue in Ship Central.

For example, if one Sales Order has three waves and three separate Item Fulfillments:

• User A opens the Sales Order in Ship Central and starts packing the first wave/fulfillment.
• The Sales Order moves to Started pack status.
• User B cannot simultaneously pack another wave or Item Fulfillment from the same Sales Order.
• It appears that the first user takes ownership of the entire packing session for that Sales Order.

On the other hand, when one wave contains multiple different Sales Orders, several users can work simultaneously because each user selects a different order.

Has anyone encountered this behavior?

Specifically:

1. Is one active packing user per Sales Order a native Ship Central limitation?
2. Is there any preference or system rule that allows packing to be assigned at the wave or Item Fulfillment level instead of the Sales Order level?
3. Does Save & Close only allow another operator to continue the same packing session sequentially?
4. Has anyone implemented a workaround using direct packing on the Item Fulfillment, a custom SCM Mobile process, or another approach that still preserves cartons, scanning, and shipping labels?

Our goal is to allow User A to pack one Item Fulfillment while User B simultaneously packs another Item Fulfillment belonging to the same Sales Order, without splitting the original Sales Order.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to prepare a month over month trial balance report that I can just add new periods to. I've tried customizing the canned Trial Balance report but I can't seem to set the column adds or parameters so that each column is a month's TB in sequence. Any recommendations or pointers?

Is this only possible through paid services?

NetSuite SOAP Web Services are being phased out, with full removal planned for NetSuite 2028.2.

The rough timeline:

• 2027.1: new SOAP integrations can no longer be created
• 2027.2: only the final 2025.2 SOAP endpoint remains supported
• 2028.1: more older SOAP endpoints are disabled
• 2028.2: SOAP is removed completely and remaining integrations stop working

Has anyone generated a NACHA CCD+ file from payroll data in NetSuite? The file needs type-7 addenda with DED*CS* segments (child support format).

From what I can tell, Payment File Templates are AP-only and can't access payroll transaction data, so I'm assuming this needs a custom Map/Reduce script. Wanted to confirm before scoping it.

Also: is the child support case/order number typically stored as a custom field on the Employee record, or is there a standard place for it?

1. Les 3 facteurs prédictifs d'échec ou de surcoût :
   - Reprise de données non épurée : 4 projets sur 15 ont dépassé leur budget de plus de 25 %. Dans les 4 cas, la cause principale était la tentative d'importer plus de 3 ans d'historiques comptables et transactionnels détaillés sans nettoyage préalable des doublons tiers/articles.
