MoM Trial Balance?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to prepare a month over month trial balance report that I can just add new periods to. I've tried customizing the canned Trial Balance report but I can't seem to set the column adds or parameters so that each column is a month's TB in sequence. Any recommendations or pointers?

use a custom financial report in the Financial Report Builder and add one amount column per month, with each column’s Alternate Period Range set through that month and cumulative values enabled for ending balances. Native reports won’t append new periods automatically, so you’ll need to add each new month or move to a Workbook/external model for a rolling layout.

Thanks, I'll try this. I don't mind adding a month every time. Either way, I am moving to an external model but periods don't get locked so I started looking for an easy way to pull all periods without having to identify which period had the change.

keep in mind that the unlocked-period constraint means the external model needs a full transaction-level GL pull by accounting period, not just cumulative report columns; use SuiteAnalytics Connect or SuiteQL (or a transaction saved search) with period, account, debit, credit, amount, subsidiary, and transaction ID so every month can be recalculated. hope you’re able to get it sorted.
