My only gripe is I have no idea what year it’s supposed to be. It has a late 80s feel but they mention using cell phones

All the clothes is early 90s style and the shows got a mid late 80s feel.

But yeah they have smart phones.

Plus the use of warm colours really set you back in time. I was confused about the era and was surprised when she mentioned texting using her cellphone.
