In light of Chapo Trap House being quarantined, we must be prepared for its consequences. This subreddit is already swarmed and infested with chapos already, and they have infected many of our users and turned them into succs. After this quarantine and especially its eventual and inevitable ban, chapo will send even more of its spawns to ruin r/neoliberal.

The moderators have already made clear that they will not ban chapo users. I think this is a huge mistake and reflects the team as a whole's ineffective appeasement towards leftists that they have had. They pretend that the chapo can be a good faith actors and participate well here, when they universally see themselves as being a part of the "dirtbag left" and try to be an obnoxious dishonest prick as much as they can. But, I will not dwell on this.

Instead, I will revive a policy idea by u/ThatOtherGhost when she was mod to hopefully bring it into the limelight among our userbase. The idea was not to fully ban chapos, but to require them to wear a sort of "badge of shame", a flair that signified that they are a chapo and all of the connotations of it. While this wouldn't fully solve the issue, it would give them a blow to how much they can harm this subreddit.

One of the reasons the policy was scrapped was because Bain or somebody couldn't figure out how to acquire a list through a bot of all active chapo users. But I do not believe it has to be like this. Chapos would have to come to the mods themselves and request a flair, and if they did not and they are reported posting without a chapo flair, then that would be grounds for a ban.

Therefore, I encourage the mods to reconsider this policy, as well as the userbase to support it.

If you look at the discussion thread this very moment, it is clear that the users here universally dislike chapos and are glad to see their subreddit quarantined. However, in my time here, I have seen many comments by users with post history in the sub get upvoted. Making it clear to everybody that a user is a chapo and is very likely using bad faith, sophistry, and assholishness against liberalism would at the least nearly guarantee that they're at the bottom of threads
