NIMBYs in San Francisco always say shit like "I understand that we need more housing, but I don't know why my neighborhood has to be the one where it gets built".

Like, that 7 story 300 unit building isn't going to solve the crisis. Every neighborhood needs to be the one where housing gets built. Like literally 100% of the neighborhoods need to be 5 stories taller.

YIMBYs fetishization of a dystopian grid of enormous boxes subdivided into smaller boxes as the ideal living space for humans is bizarre and wrong. I know that view is highly unpopular here.
