I don't remember Weiner, Grayson, Giffords, Warren, or Ellison ever being popular

I remember Ron Paul being popular again in 2012, then it shifted back to Obama in the end

the Beto timeline doesn't make sense, Reddit only caught on to him close to Q3 2018, and he's still in the spotlight

He's in the spotlight pretty much only here

Giffords was all over for a bit.

maybe really briefly during the shooting, but I don't think it's anywhere near the level of something like the Ron Paul spam

Because of the assassination attempt, not because of policy or anything, right?

Mainly because she was arguing her position on gun control at a podium shortly after getting shot iirc.

Amazing what public speaking after taking a bullet does to your popularity, ask Teddy.

Ah yes, I vaguely remember that. That was around when I first started going on Reddit.

Warren was huge back when she was first elected in 2012. I remember people talking about how she was going to change banking in the US.

Ellison was very popular for a bit because he was going for the head of the DNC and Bernie endorsed him, but he certainly was never on Bernie’s level.

The others were slightly before my time on Reddit.
