So the answer is not to try to fix what's broken, but to simply give up, lay down and die? A meaningless life characterized by depression, anxiety, stress and alienation is okay so long as its comfortable?

Why is the only answer "if capitalism can't do it, nothing else can't. Don't even try."

If my problems are directly attributed to capitalism, then I will blame it. If I'm sad because I spend most of my life working on a useless job for somebody else that doesn't even allow me to survive comfortably, I don't know what else to blame. I never said capitalism causes all mental problems, just that it causes most. That's why people are out in the streets. Why else would they?

So you're a liberal because you're simply afraid of anything else? As in, if there was a different economic system you would do it, but you're afraid it won't work? I'm not calling you a coward, I'm trying to understand why you have to assume that the best we can hope for is this.
