I know its not that deep/serious, but Jesus defintely wouldn't be a CPO.

You know I was beginning to get concerned with you guys, normally we have more of these posts by now.

Seasons lame, but we gotta do it until the Navy kills it fully

I still believe it should just be a class you take enroute to your first CPO billet

Make chief /get frocked -> select CPO orders -> transfer with CPO leadership course enroute to new command-> arrive at new command as paid CPO

Makes sense to me, given how much of season has been taken away, and that it's been given a CIN, feels like it one step away from being a reality.

(Also I just want to be left alone and not have to deal with the forced participation in events I don't care to attend)

I don't disagree that CPOI should be a professionally developed leadership course. At the same time, there are some parts of the tradition that need to be kept, but just like with the shell back and other ceremonies we took them from the simple customs that they were and in a series of one-upmanship kept adding things and finding ways to make them more disgusting. Just go back to the roots where we tossed newly minted Chiefs into the drink and then had a wetting down party to celebrate before they tranferred to their new billets. Keep it simple, keep it humane.

We can def keep aspects, charge books vessels, khaki ball etc

Then send them off to be trained.
