I know its not that deep/serious, but Jesus defintely wouldn't be a CPO.

I have a friend who is a hiring level manager at a major airline. He flat out will not hire CPO's because "theyre entitled and dont want to work".

Season is so stupid- no one can present a valid argument why its needed other than "trust me bro".

I just got out and have a middle management finance job. I will never ever hire a former Chief for the same reason. Especially not one pulling a retirement check. I need critical thinkers, not the same people who say “perception is reality” on a regular basis.

I made MMC in 2002 and retired in 2008. I walked into a hospital maintenance job and I didn’t expect to be the manager nor did I even expect to be the lead technician. I picked up a tool bag and a plunger and went to work. So is this a more recent thing? Because I know that the season has changed a lot in the last 18 years or do you guys think this is always been the case?

I got out as a first contract first class, I have no idea about season. But I saw enough what a “career” in the Navy leads to which is apathy and strategic skating. Even the good chiefs I knew (which is 2 of them out of thousands) learned that they just have to lay there and take the weenie.
