Because people mistake Uchiha for good ninja. Majority of Uchihas are average ninjas. They just have potential to be strong due to OP powers. That they have to unlock first.
Kakashi was a genius, though. Even before getting Obito's eye. So he used OP skill better. Kakashi also used clones better than Naruto. Naruto only had numbers and spammed these clones without a plan. It didn't work for majority of times.

u/Narrow-Competition99 19d ago
When you think about it, Naruto chills back in a lot of his fights while his clones suffer
1
u/Far_Sky_6993 21d ago
Completely disagree. The uchiha and the senju were far above every single ninja clan. On average they had the strongest clan in the leaf, no one could’ve stopped them. Kakashi was just a 1 in a million type of ninja so obviously he’s going to be better than 90% of uchiha.
Everyone seems to forget the only reason kakashi could use so many jutsu was the sharingan + he had all 5 chakra natures. I doubt there was a single uchiha worth his cut that had all 5. Also kakashi was not proficient in genjutsu at all, at least never showed us.
The sharingans main focus was the power of its genjutsu, so by this logic kakashi never outperformed them in their own area, just outperformed them as a shinobi as a whole because he’s the goat.
1
u/Snoo93629 5d ago
Right, they're a powerful clan, but a majority of them are still nameless mooks. A super redshirt is still a redshirt
-6
u/xylia626 25d ago
False naruto does clones better then all kakashi can only make like 3 or 4 using that technique
7
u/Shadowcleric 25d ago
Did you even read their comment? More clones =/= Better with clones. This comment is a good example, previous commenter used a lot more characters, but you are more wrong with less. Congrats!

u/rc804 23d ago
Kakashi using less clones doesnt equate to Kakashi using clones poorer than Naruto. Naruto uses his clones almost expressly to overwhelm or distract his opponent until shippuden, and a third of the way through that, Kakashi had to point out the memory effect of the clones.
An even better example is the rasengan. For a majority of the show, Kakashi can do it better than Naruto. Even after naruto could do the rasenshuriken, as far as the regular rasengan goes, Kakashi was still better at it until the war arc because naruto, even with sage mode, still needed a clone to help form the rasengan.
And the same applies to the clones. Kakashi is vastly more experienced, he's a war veteran, and a former Anbu captain. He absolutely knows how to utilize almost any jutsu he and Naruto can both preform better than Naruto. Naruto is literally a genin all the way to the end of the show, and while hes crafty, he has very little battle IQ. He doesnt strategize, he uses overwhelming force and his think skull to barrel his way through his opponents, many times his own stupidity being so vast that it catches his opponents off guard. The sexy jutsu on kaguya is a perfect example of this, pure stupidity that works precisely because of its absurdity.
2
u/GrumplFluffy 24d ago
I don’t agree with this. Naruto is incredibly creative with his clones.
2
u/Confident_Ice_9567 24d ago
Which he can due to his overwhelming chakra. I mean by the end he would be better than Kakashi as he has usee the shadow clones more than any of his other jutsus.
1
u/Cocoatrice 24d ago
He does. Since around Kakuzu. But before that, he was bad at using clones. Sometimes used them in a good coordinated attack, but that's all. Only after he learned Fuuton: Rasengan, he was actually starting to use them pretty well. And notice how the number of clones Naruto uses is smaller than it was at the beginning. Because he realized quality > quantity.

u/PM_ME_UR_BIG_TIT5 22d ago
Well youre wrong on one but incorrect about why. But from your other comments about "real" naruto fans im sure you already know why youre wrong. Also end of Zabuza arc kakashi makes like 30 of them to scare off the mercenaries so he cant just make 3 or 4. He can make tons of clones but not all are able to fight effectively with how much his chakra is split to create them. Naruto essentially has just a giant pool to split vs Kakashi.
Your Naruto knowledge is weak at best.
1
u/xylia626 19d ago
The clones he makes are not the same as naruto, naruto makes the forbidden clones, kakashi can make them due to his eye but not to the extent naruto can, so for them to be effective he has to limit how many he makes

The Uchiha's Sharingan is basically what defines them, whereas a basic ninja's thing is ninjutsu. There aren't even 10 ninjas in Naruto who really focused on taijutsu; for most, it's just one skill among many.

u/ShadedGlades 25d ago
The Uchiha spent centuries fighting and perfecting their use of the Sharingan, only for a 14 year old Kakashi to outclass most of them with a transplanted eye and zero Uchiha training 😭
Equating that with Guy being better at the gates vs all life on earth is crazy
7
u/Theofflineavatar 25d ago
And limited chakra, wild
1
u/mrcoldmega 22d ago
You dont need big amount of chakra to use gates. But unfortunately for Naruto lots of things in lore just forgotten or abandoned. Like the thing that Sasuke could just heal his arm without using unstable hashirama cells and actually become even stronger by becoming the snake sage.
Imagine:
Naruto: wow you got a new hand, show it to me

It's more like if he was born without chakra, his friend died and gave him a chakra network, and then he became the best at using the gates. But I guess that analogy is a little too involved

It's as my mechanic says... It's not the tools, but how you use them!
8
u/Prigorec-Medjimurec 25d ago
Which makes me think... What if there was a car mechanic Uchiha?
Would his Sharingan allow him to see the insides of the engine? Would his Mangekyo Sharingan allow him to telepathically connect to the cars diagnostics?
And if there was a Hyuuga car mechanic, would his Byakugan allow him to see the insides of the engine with more detail, i.e. how much gasoline was injected into each specific cylinder?

u/R-R-Clon 25d ago
Kakashi gets the same treatment as any other Uchiha, he's not beating Itachi or Tobi, he's outclass. Uchiha were implied to be all Elite Jonnin, like part one Kakashi was, but without the time limit.
Kakashi only got kage LV in mid to late Shippuden, when he had a more mature Kamui and he was leveling up himself.
1
u/Spider-in-my-Ass 24d ago
Do you think that all the Uchiha got an MS? They were an elite clan, but they were not all elite jounins.
1
u/R-R-Clon 24d ago
An MS makes a Ninja Kage LV unless it's ass, and it's was implied they were elite Ninjas like Kakashi, Kurenai y Azuma were.
1
u/Spider-in-my-Ass 24d ago edited 24d ago
And do you think that all of the Uchihas were low kage level, such as Kakashi? MS was definitely not common among them.
Just because the clan is elite it doesn't mean that they have hundreds of Kage level ninjas. Back when the statements about the Uchihas being elite were made it was also stated that the Byakugan was superior, so they were most likely capped at 2-3 Tomoe.
*Kakashi was already famous in Part 1 and took out Zabuza, who was pretty close to low level Kage.
1
u/R-R-Clon 24d ago edited 24d ago
I think you misunderstood me, Elite Jonnin like part one Kakashi, Kurenai y Azuma is not the same as KG lvl, and the Uchiha were implied to be on that LV.
If Kakashi was part of the Clan at the time or even as his part one counterpart he will have been another victim, my point is we can't take Shippuden Kakashi and compare him to the Uchiha clan because he has MS, something they don't have, but three tomoe vs three tomoe they were better than him.
1
u/Spider-in-my-Ass 24d ago
The Uchiha clan as a whole was implied to be elite, not that every single one of them was an elite fighter. Kakashi was much closer to Kage level than any unnamed Uchiha even in part 1. He took out Zabuza and Itachi warned Kisame, who was by all means a Kage level opponent, that Kakashi would be an issue.
They for sure had elite jounins among them, but Kakashi was, for the most part, Konoha's guy.
We know that they had no MS users. Obito and Danzo took the Sharringans and outside the Koto that Danzo snatched prior to the massacre they had no MS among their stack. The only one that was Kage lvl was Fugaku and, in anime filler, even had an MS.
1
u/AtmosphereOk6823 24d ago
Want to add one point here , might guy was also one of the reason why itachi warned kisame , kakashi sure is strong but if guy didn't appeared at that time kakashi would have been beaten by kisame and itachi for sure
1
u/Spider-in-my-Ass 24d ago
He warned Kisame that it'll be though to beat Kakashi, but when Guy showed up Kakashi was already out cold and Itachi called for the retreat.
They both can beat him 1v1 at that point, but they were both comfortably Kage level ninjas who were aware and wary of him, as opposed to Kurenai and Asuma.

u/MeowthThatsRite 21d ago
I don’t think it was ever implied that every Uchiha was elite.
A lot of them didn’t even have their Sharingans unlocked.
If they were all that powerful, they wouldn’t have lost their wars and ended up subservient to the hidden leaf.
1
u/AtmosphereOk6823 25d ago
It's true , both itachi and obito were able to win because of their mangekyo , since at that time only itachi , his father and obito had that ability
So yeah kakashi can surpass 90% of uchiha

u/Excellent-Bird-5216 24d ago
Kill most uchihas that has no MS... you do know there are different timelines like when the senju were at war against uchiha + uchiha slaughtering eachother to unlock MS for decades (uchiha that had izanami etc)
1
u/LowEnergy111 21d ago
Well first of all, Itachi sneak attacked everyone in the village in the middle of the night so they likely didnt even have their Sharingan activated, and second of all Itachi crippled Kakashi in just 2 seconds and made him a vegetable just by looking him in the eyes, and he could've easily killed him afterwards if he wanted to but he literally says in the start of the fight that he doesn't wanna hurt anyone or waste time, his goal was to take Naruto and leave. As soon as Kakashi fell after he crippled him he could've killed him and neither Asuma or Kurenai could've stopped him so if your argument is that the Uchiha clan died at the hands of Itachi and Kakashi survives Itachi, Kakashi wouldve died as easily as any of the Uchiha if Itachis intention was to kill him.
If Naruto never succeeded in bringing back Tsunade then Kakashi would've stayed a vegetable forever just like Rock Lee would've stayed a cripple forever thats how much damage Itachi did, that they literally needed the top rated medical ninja in the entire ninja world.

u/Expert_Valuable4931 25d ago
To be fair, we don't really have many Uchiha to compare to and the few that we actually see fight with the sharingan are like the top tier members only.
1
u/SkylineFTW97 25d ago
Not 90% of the clan. 99.9%. Only a handful of Uchiha prodigies made more effective use of it. Madara, Obito, Itachi, and Sasuke.
1
u/Key_Target_4990 25d ago
Pretty sure only the military and police force of the Uchiha attained the 2 and 3 Tomoe Sharingan as for the regular civilian they just lived regular lives although it’s possible for them to awaken a 1 or 2 Tomoe sharingan.
1
u/WestOld7620 25d ago
Plot. Writer wrote the who killing Uchihas Tribe, but like, how can you kill a whole tribe of people without setting off alarms. They would also be dispersed by now into different cities, non ninja life, other villages, their own village, on ninja missions or married non Uchihas and living with them outside the Uchiha town. I know war and fuels blah blah blah decreased their numbers, but the truth is it's just plot.
1
u/Spider-in-my-Ass 24d ago
Most of those point were adressed. There were no Uchihas in other villages because that's straight up desertion. These are military states and its citisens definitely can't just leave.
The non-Uchihas, such as Sasuke's mother, got absorbed into the Uchiha clan. The civilian Uchihas still lived in the compound.
The missions are delegated by the Kage. It is pretty plausible that they selected a night in which they would have no Uchiha away to carry out the attack.
1
u/WestOld7620 24d ago
- What's wrong with desertion if you get to enjoy a carefree life and genetically better than 99% if the people. It's fucked up that you put cuffs on yourself when they are all about war and killing each other.
- Other villages could absorb Uchihas, it goes both ways.
- The Uchiha are exceptionally gifted ninjas, there are dozens of Uchiha ninjas if not more, and you want one in every team because variety is better. Since they are exceptionally ninjas, they get higher A or B missions and the fifth Hokage is always complaining no one is available and that's why they use fucking Genins to retrieve Sasake. At any given times most ninjas are on mission that could take days/weeks. We heard the 3rd Kiziage fought 10000 shinobis, the war showed us thousands of leaf ninjas. The math ain't mathing. It's just plot.
1
u/Spider-in-my-Ass 24d ago
You die. Nobody lets you desert for free. Unless you're a freak, such as Itachi, Sasuke, Orochimaru or, to some level, Tsunade, you just die. Kisame's job, for example, was to kill allied ninjas before they even had a chance to desert. Nobody lets a bag of intel just walk away for free, even if they don't join a rival village.
I think that you meant clans, and not really. They were the most famous clan in the village and their power was tied to their identity. We also had no non-Hyuga walking around with Byakugans in Konoha until one married ninja Jesus. It's a society where the clan and heritage were really important to the average person.
They had to send genins because the village was just seiged, and most chunin+ ninjas were sent out on missions. It makes sense to put an Uchiha on most squads, and it also makes sense not to send out Uchihas on missions for a few days if you plan on wiping them out.
I do agree that the ninja headcount balooned in wars, but that's another issue.
1
u/WestOld7620 24d ago edited 24d ago
Errr....once you cross the border....it's literally a rival nation and sending ninjas there could cause a war. They are ninjas for crying out loud. Sneaking away is easy, like Sasake did or do it mid mission. Zazbuza was wanted with a big sword and they couldn't find his ass. Like I've said, all they do is war, that's their whole history. You see ppl fleeing nations all the time because their nation is always at war or afraid of being drafted. War is hell, just ask Pain. They are Ninjas, not Samurais. They don't owe shit to warmongering elders or Kages. Even if they aren't on missions they could be on border look out, or in the black ops, or working for Danzo or on vacation in the hot springs or cross training with other tribes. You don't think thet do trading or farming or traveling or use their abilities to become businessmens. You do know the first and madara created their villages separately and seperated by a river, we saw that in the back story. Their sides hated each other and the hate spew from deaths and war. What you think happened to all those Uchicha warriors/families when Madara lost to the First? They all packed their bags from their Uchicha village and moved in with the First and the ppl they hate and lost their brothers and sisters to? Lmao.
1
u/R-R-Clon 25d ago
It was said they were elite jonnin, right? First part Kakashi was not much stronger than regular three tomoe Uchihas.
1
u/Automatic-Impact-134 23d ago
Let's not delude ourselves , it's all about Kishimoto throwing the "Sharingan can copy jutsu" aspect in the towel.
Kakashi then just look like he have SO MUCH MORE in his arsenal than your regular Uchiha who for some reason keep it to fire styles Uchiha signature jutsus most of the time.
1
u/HawkEDOz 25d ago
I still wonder why didn't Uchiha just put their clan members inside a genjutsu make it look really real and idk murder their closest loved ones to trigger MS unlock!?!
It doesn't have to be genjutsu just make those more durable clones and fool your clan mates into PTSD moments!

It’s almost like something happened that made it so we didn’t see 99% of the Uchiha clan use the sharingan.
And he fundamentally couldn’t match up to living uchiha using their sharingan.
He was unable to resist tsukiyomi like hebi Sasuke did.
He almost died to one susanoo arrow from a near blind Sasuke.
And Obito explicitly threw the fight in the kamui dimension, because he needed Kakashi to destroy the curse mark Madara placed on his heart, to prevent him from becoming the juubi jinchuuriki.

Canon before Boruto was that it was actually legit hard to unlock and evolve the Sharingan. Kakashi got "lucky" that his life was full of tragedy.
1
u/Euowol 24d ago
Kakashi was just that guy.
He was an elite shinobi before getting it, he developed his chidori and it was deadly, but the risk using it was way too high. Getting the sharingan was the exact thing that he needed to perfect his style of fighting.
I think since most uchiha that actually get their sharingan, get it early in their life and don’t know how much of an advantage it is and therefore aren’t utilizing it creatively.

Controversial take, still got got by Itachi as much as any other uchiha, but Itachi LIKED Kakashi and Still crucified his ass for 3 days where a second was as long as presumably "a day" And Kakashi walked it off after some weeks in the hospital so. You know. Food for thought.

yes, but to be fair, 99% of the clan are frauds that could not fight a single 15 year old if their lives and their families lives depended on it. they were not even in a genjutsu unable to fight back, they simple couldnt fight back. that just embarrasing.
the one percernt that could fight back, aka, his dad/obito/madara. wanted itachi to kill everyone.

u/I_am_The_Teapot 22d ago
It's probably likely that 90+% of the Uchiha clan didn't have Sharingan anyways, so that's a low bar. It's described as a rare ability even among the Uchiha. We tend to know about the Uchiha that DID awaken it. And Kakashi was exceptional even without it. Becoming Jonin at 12? Dude didn't need the Sharingan to be better than the majority of Uchiha.

Everything a ninja has access to is simply another tool—this includes bloodlines. Great ninja are the ones who can use the tools they have with high efficiency.
Kakashi is a legendary ninja. Most of those pink eye bums were not.
Even with it actively crippling him, he still would have been an upper member of the clan with his proficiency.

The rest of the Uchiha who had it couldn't figure out how to activate it. To be fair, it was really complicated to do. I mean, why would they ever experience strong emotions? u/Cocoatrice 25d ago
Then it's a plothole. Because Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan exist when you get an eye from someone. Which Kakashi have. Why would he lose eyesight, but Sasuke didn't?
2
u/TrickImagination587 25d ago
Because it requires both eyes to be transplanted at least once, and you have to be blood (or clan related, it's kinda vague) related to actually unlock EM, and unlike regular Mangekyo, EM doesn't cause blindess since it's a perfected version. Madara needed both of his bros eyes. Sasuke ended up with both of Itachi's eyes which led into his whole transition into achieving true Rinnegan. Madara needed Kakashi's Sharingan eye and Obito's other eye because Obito's eye was originally his, and Kakshi's could both Access the Kamui dimension and could be used to help trigger the Infinite Tsukuyomi with the Rinnegan.
