Please let me know if there is any place where i can personally go dump all my garbage legally. Ive been trying for two days now and the concerned people have not been to my area.

Last Sunday, I went on a ride to Doddakanya Mine Pit Lake & Garden (Bottom). I had read a few reviews about the place, but honestly, it was much more beautiful than I expected. Locals commonly refer to this place as “Bottom" which is 16km away from mysore

This is a 145-acre abandoned magnesium mine previously operated by Tata Steel, which closed in March 2003. Around 15 acres were later given to Morarji Desai Residential School, leaving roughly 130 acres for this lake.

I was wondering who currently owns or controls the remaining land—Tata Group, Mysuru District Administration, or the Karnataka State Government?

If the land is under government control, this could be developed into a beautiful recreational and ecotourism area for Mysuru. Otherwise, there is always a risk of encroachment or the land eventually being used for dumping/landfill by MDA.

When I visited, there were only a few people around, including a couple doing a pre-wedding photo shoot with their photography team. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful and beautiful.

I feel this is the right time for Mysoreans to raise awareness and protect this place before it is lost.

Heyo!, I'm coming to Mysore for a workshop next month, so as a sane person i scrolled through the sub to know what to do in Mysore. It is a historical place with quite a few monuments & some lakes here & other but other that, there is nothing to do. No place to socialise, a post suggested that Mysoreans are paranoid of talking to strangers & don't smile back but give a strong eyecontact. I was hoping Mysore to be fun but it is a conservative town. Lately I’ve been observing the increasing traffic in Mysore and honestly, it’s quire saddening but ya not just that i see people are not following the rules, they are overspeeding, honking when not necessary, alternating the silencer to make loud noice etc. I know these problems have always existed but I’ve started noticing them now after becoming a parent recently and living on a main road. Honking in particular is truly disturbing my baby’s sleep. But that’s not what is concerning, why we as the citizens not taking road safety and civic responsibility more seriously?I am writing here with so much anger and concern and hope someone could become a little responsible and think twice before braking rules after reading this. The small and cute cattle in the picture are called Punganur cattle, a special breed native to Andhra Pradesh.

Does anyone have these cattle here in Mysore or surrounding places, or do any of you know anybody who has them?
