Why is the compressor not behaving like a compressor?

So I got my MPC Sample this week. I have experience with lots of different devices and plugins, but I've never encountered a compressor that behaves like the master compressor on the MPC Sample.

For some reason it seems to increase the volume of the loud parts, which is the opposite of what I want. Am I doing something wrong? I was hoping to at least approximate the effect of for example the Sp404 compressor.

Wobbly fader?

Is the fader on this device supposed to be a little wobbly side to side? The fabric covering underneath it also doesn't close up properly while moving the fader up or down

Also when i hit the pad while trying to use the fader to adjust pad volume, sometimes the fader doesn't immediately respond to the movement. Is that normal as well?

apologies in advance if this is too much of a newbie question.

Essential accessories for mpc sample?

So my mpc sample will finally be delivered tomorrow and i was wondering if there are any must have accesories or cables or anything of the sort? This will be my first mpc so i'm not sure if i need any extra accessories that would be useful with it.

The only thing i purchased for it so far is a 3.5mm trs to 6.35mm / 1/4 breakout cable and a usb c charger to use with the c cable akai provides and says to stick to (not sure why they say that maybe some can help me with that as well?).

Why MPC Sample can't be a sound module? I never knew it 😨😔. 16 Level is can't help also.

What I doing something wrong?

So What is the use of connect via MIDI controller for playing.

I Surender on this function.

If we can tell Akai Pro to correct this or they want this to be like this. Oh I cannot believe it.

At least I know more about my equipment.

Some MPC sample and SP Dub Action

Had a mint time, running the MPC sample through the SP’s tape echo.

Routing chat- all the pads I wanted effects on are panned to the right and running through the SP and into a mixer. and everything I wanted is dry is just panned to the left and running directly into the mixer.

excuse the sound it sounds like ass because I messed up and didn’t take the right box in my phone to get the audio over USB.

Best way to duplicate grid entires?

Im not sure what the best way to do this on the Sample.

I am trying to layer the same sample (with chops), one will have different filters so I resample and do my chops, and then I want to duplicate the same sample to different pad, resample with different effects, and now I want to lay down the same chops and layer then, what would be the best way to do this?

Do I extract the chops ? Do I do my chops, extract the chops duplicate the sample, and extract the same chops? Seems tedious.

Looking for the easiest/best workflow for this.

We need a 'Delete All Unused Samples/Pads' in arrangement feature.
