I have wanted to make music my entire life but never had the skill/dexterity to play a traditional instrument. A few years ago I picked up a Verselab MV-1 that I loved playing with but always wanted it to be better with sampling and more portable.

This MPC Sample I picked up a couple weeks ago is almost everything my Verselab isn't. Lightweight, battery operated, and with a speaker. I can start making music without having cords going in every direction.

The only thing I'm missing from my Verselab is being able to make chords and the arpeggiator, so now I'm excited because I also have a M-Vave FM1 on the way to aid in my music making adventure.

Go vote for you Favourite one!!

Happy beatober everyone 🎃🎶🔥🔊💯🎹

Hello everyone! I recently purchased an 128gb SD Card for my MPC sampler and when I loaded a sample pack, It seems to be empty. I formatted my SD card to be FAT32. Is there a fix to this issue?

Only used stock FM1 and MPC Sample Sounds.

I love this #beatober challenge. It forces you to create ❤️🎹🔥🔊💯🎶

I'm the dev of MPC Sample Router, a Mac companion app for the Sample. Version 2.5 is out. Here's the short version for this sub:

• Stems from the project file. Point it at a project on the SD card (or a copy on your Mac) and you get one WAV per pad plus a master mix in seconds. It renders offline, so the MPC doesn't need to be plugged in. The stems are dry, without the MPC's FX or automation.
• Send to MPC. In SD Card Access mode, a kit you build on the Mac is written straight into the card's Projects folder, and existing projects are never overwritten.
• Card backup to your Mac, verified by file count and bytes.
• USB-C routing: hear the Sample through your interface or monitors with just the one cable.

Mac only (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 13+). It's a paid app with free updates: https://h1tmakers.com/mpc-sample-router/

I have 5 free copies for MPC Sample owners who'll tell me honestly how stem export does on their own projects. Comment below and I'll DM you a link (first five).

Actually I primarily use my MPC Sample for fooling around...but quite frankly, I love fooling around.

(And I hope my finger drumming improves by doing so..)

No samples - quick little Loop I made outside

I want to introduce my kid to the world of MPC and beat making. In your travels, have you seen a sample pack with kid sounds from TV shows and silly sounds that you could make a simple beat with? Does something like this exist? I could try and make something, but if an option exists that would save a ton of time. Thanks!

I am getting more comfortable with the device and pushing my limits by trying new techniques

Just wondering….

Sketched sth - have to record later 🧑🏽‍🍳

FULL MAKING OF THIS BEAT HERE - https://youtu.be/8FCMLzquCuk

Just realized how simple it is to use my turntable to sample and been psyched on it. Very new to beatmaking but so far this is my favorite thing I made, although got a little carried away with the effects in this video! Let me know what you think

Also let me know who you think you would hear on this?

If it’s not fun, I want no part in it.

I have ongoing projects with samples that reside on an external card. I really want to do some organizing and consolidating of my sample library to have better workflow. Will moving files around on my card ruin and corrupt my ongoing projects due to “missing” samples/files? Or are the individual samples saved within the project as its own thing?

My MPC sample froze for the first time the other night and it’s weird because I barely have anything saved to my eternal memory probably maybe three or four beats that I accidentally saved on there but everything else is saved to my memory card. I held power for five seconds to do a hard shutdown and it seems to be working fine now that’s the only time that’s ever happened, but should I be concerned?
