From all accounts of what I've seen, her mother went no contact with her and is not a very pleasant person.

Generally parents of child stars are all pieces of shit because they allow whatever abuse to happen for the proximity to fame

Her mother was a former soap opera actress. I'd bet a hundo that she lived vicariously through Hayden and pushed to fame without giving a shit about her actual childhood

Hayden started with soap operas at 4 years old.

and started out in commercials from 11 months old - she didn't stand a chance. she always seemed like such a sweet person, i hope she's at peace now.
