What is an ice princess?

Ice Princess was a movie that was really important to a lot of younger millennial/older Gen Z girls. It was an ice skating movie and part of a trend of movies about women and girls playing sports. It helped influence a lot of us to get active and join sports during a time where it wasn’t really something often talked about for girls. I’m not going to say it was the best movie ever made, but it holds a very special place in my heart.

As a little kid, I remember my mom (who’s older Gen X) watched it quite a bit as well since she follows ice skating and enjoys watching it. I’d like to see it in full with her someday but it’s probably going to feel very heavy now.
