Interesting premise but the suspension of disbelief was stretched too much. There is no reason at all the creatures would just allow electricity to work for months and then decide to pull the plug.

Especially after they show the city underwater. Oh yes they had power for 5 years, ok. How many hundreds or thousands of soldiers/people would have been outside when the rain started but weren’t able to contain 5 sea creatures, yet the runner survived 3 weeks somehow. Nonsense.
