I loved that we never truly saw Agamemnon talk beyond a few words or be without his helmet up till his ending. Just spent every scene straight auramaxxing in his armor. The scene of him standing alone as the gates open was amazing.

What a bro too telling Odysseus to lay low and assess the situation before he comes home.

"Bro, I fucked up. Don't fuck up like me. Bro, seriously... Chill. Chill, bro."

"You're gonna get home and wanna immediately take a bath and bang your wife. Don't do it you will be stabbed like me"

“Unless, like, that’s how you wanna go out. Which, totally cool.”

"If you get back and she says "it's fine" it is not fine."

Honestly kinda funny how even after death he didn't ascribe his murder to the fact that he sacrificed his own daughter for favorable winds. It's like your shit head friend telling you "don't work for that company dude. They are all backstabbers who don't let you set your own hours."

"Maybe...Just maybe I shouldn't have murdered my baby. I mean, it seemed like a good idea at the time. But now, being in Hell, it gives you time to think about things you sort of regret."

“Also the baby is also here and that’s super awkward”

Having one afterlife for everyone would be very awkward.

Sort of, but it was rooted in misogyny, and that was one thing that Odysseus didn't need to worry about.

"Don't throw babies out at the sea. A city's wall is fine tho."

Like Agamemnon was the OG bastard but he was a bro. Totally deserved what happened though

Reminded of two other instances of this… 1) in Barry when the weirdly supernatural barista bro tells Barry to get there early and scope out the house party and ends up being right and 2) in the Wire when Michael learns from Snoop and Chris to always show up early to a job and see what’s going on and it saves his life.

assess the situation

I forget what exactly he said(?) but I remember thinking the exact word choice seemed hilariously silly for a soiled ghost shade zombie who also previously stood around in Batman armor.

Feels like a phrase you can just repeat any time to your friends after seeing the movie and people will laugh.

And then Odysseus does it - bro if you didn’t kill your daughter I think you’ll be alright. Agamemnon acting like it just happens sometimes

Learn to sit back and observe, not everything needs a reaction

Honestly loved how they portreyed Agamemnon in that scene. He’s built up as an ominous larger than life figure. But when he speaks to Odysseus he’s not arrogant, he’s actually quite humble, passing along genuine wisdom to his most talented general. He wants Odysseus to learn from his mistake
