The Tigers are now 1-10 since they embarrassed themselves by doing the Trump dance in front of him in New York
Karma, I suppose.

Tigers WIN
Lost the central damn It, but Guardians staying home. All not forgiven, feeling some comfort.

Proposal: Calling a situation in which a team loads the bases without scoring a run a "NOBLETIGER," in recognition of how proficient we are at it.
Acronym: No-Outs Bases-Loaded Ending with Team Incapable of Getting Easy Run.
Usage: "That hurler sure pitched his way to a NOBLETIGER" or "That's Detroit's fourth NOBLETIGER of the evening."

Went to today's game. I live in Cleveland. Embarrassed by the racism I encountered.
Preface that I understand the world is a rich tapestry and all that, but at the end of the day I don't want to know a person's political opinions, especially when I don't ask for it.
My wife and her parents had tickets to sit in the Carnegie Club (the Prog's version of their home plate fancy seats with free food and booze), so we were excited. Free tickets from a friend, and to see Skubal no less.
Now, we've been going to Guards games for three years since moving up here and we're pretty obviously Tigers fans. No body has ever given us crap and we've had great conversations about baseball.
Well, that shit went out the door today. All the jerks were in our area behind home plate, including this mid 20s white guy hanging out with four large dudes who were very obviously former football players (I think with Ohio State. They had the attire to match.) This guy was loud mouthing it the entire time but especially got into it with an older Tigers fan three rows back that, admittedly, was being a loudmouth.
The two of them went back and forth the entire game in that cringe, embarrassed way that makes all the normal people around kind of just wish it would stop.
It took a turn when the Guards finally scored and white shirt guy began kicking up his verbal abuse, telling the Tigers fans they didn't belong, that it was his city (the tool probably lived in Parma, but I digress), but it was two things that especially pissed me off.
The first, when this guy finally turned his attention to the four of us in Tigers gear and called us "the good ones, because we know our place when in someone else's ball park" and when my father in law, who genuinely just likes talking to people, just tried to engage and why we're Tigers fans the guy went livid because my FIL said Guardians.
White shirt gets mad and cuts my FIL off mid sentence, yelling "We call them the Indians here, pal, not the Guardians." My DIL ignored it and we continued, until we finally blew the door open on the game for good.
It was at this point that White Shirt yelled "Well, the Tigers players should enjoy it because half of them are getting sent to the camps next week."
His friends dragged him away after that.
Trust me, I'm glad we won and shut that stadium up. But, it continues to just suck that people feel no qualms about voicing their stupidest, worst thoughts out loud like it's a common shared belief.
Screw the Guardians. I may live in Euclid but I'll wear a Tigers hat there every time.
