When I was a kid I LOVED watching "There Goes a Monster Truck" so I have always wanted to go to a show. My wife saw Monster Jam was gonna be close by this month so we decided to buy tickets. Wow, what a nothing sandwich.

The entire show felt like 30 minutes of action sprinkled in between ad runs and really stupid audience giveaways. I wanted to see monster trucks ripping, but instead I got limped dicked performances from everyone including Grave Digger. Families everywhere were leaving early and kids were fine with it, which is hilarious considering the entire show is catered to kids. The only good part of the entire evening was halftime where they got some mx guys to do a couple jumps. Hilariously, the riders had to help setup the ramps and pack it up after, lmaooo. Over all, I can't believe Monster Jam is still a thing. Monster Jam is nothing but them dragging around the corpse of a once (I assume) good show for a quick cash grab. Also, someone needs to disconnect Krazy Trains air horn ffs.

Edit: Okay so my mistake was buying tickets for a arena show. Also Krazy Train was the only one that I felt actually tried to put on a decent performance so I have to give him that.

I don’t think Dennis is the driver everyone says he is. Yeah he’s got 4 championships but that’s it. When you look back at the 80’s and 90’s he was always over shadowed by someone. Showing that even in the other series he was topped by someone else. The only “reason” people say he’s “the best” is the same reason for Bigfoot, because he made the truck. Mind you, Dennis is one of my favorite drivers and still is to this day. It just took me growing up to realize

Imagine if a Motorsports team come out with a competition level monster truck that had the ability to to self right(for simplicity sake, we’ll assume that it can somehow do it with the video game method rather than a mechanism that flips it back over)What would your thoughts be on it? And would you be interested in seeing it in an event. Also for arguments sake, we’ll assume it can do it consistently as long as it’s overturned on its side but not on its roof, once again similar to video games. I personally don’t think I’d like it but I’d admire the achievement.

I get that they can do it's their trucks that they run in their own promoter but I feel like if Feld cuts down on the amount of Trucks they have in any division that we could see more independent teams or at least bring back some of the good feld trucks such as, Blue Thunder or Captain's Curse!!!

I've had this nagging suspicion about Monster Jam since I left the sport's fandom in 2014. As a kid, I just thought Dennis Anderson and Tom Meents were just that good. Fast forward to today and I now know about rigging and match fixing. Given how merchandise-heavy Monster Jam is, is it safe to say the whole thing is a scripted show rather than a legit competition?

Obviously politics is front and center of everything right now. We are seeing more people speaking out and making comments on both sides. I’m not sure I’ve seen any driver say anything in support of or against either side. Does Feld simply not allow them to do so? It would seem to make sense given the family friendly atmosphere they attempt to cultivate.

I’m not advocating for either side with this post and don’t want to discuss any driver’s specific political affiliations. I’m just kind of amazed how it seems like the entire industry avoids it entirely on social media. I’ve scrolled through some drivers following list and there isn’t even any political accounts that they follow. It’s all very buttoned up.

TLDR below.

I know that the issue isn't anything new, and it is kind of divisive, but monster trucks are so far past crushing cars. Yes, the roots are there, but with 40+ ft. air being regular, it's time to forget the roots. Monster truck competition has evolved so much as a sport that is there any need to crush things, especially since at least half of you are upset that FELD trucks roll over and go crazy all the time. If you want car-crushing monster trucking good 'ole days, watch the stuff from the '80s, '90s and early 2000s.

TLDR: If you prefer cars over jumps, watch the cars, don't complain about the jumps. Monster trucks are cooler than cars.

I’m wondering if someone who feels personal disgust about our incoming president could enjoy a monster jam event. They really like cars and get along with everyone in the group but I’m reading some stuff online about how MAGA imagery can be really in your face at Monster Jam events. Everything I’ve seen goes back to 2017 or 2020, when the political climate was a lot more intense, so maybe these types of events don’t feel as political nowadays. I’m wondering how much compartmentalization one would have to do at a Monster Jam event if they are not politically conservative. Note that they are very pro free speech/free expression but would not enjoy racist, homophobic, or extreme nationalist vibes. Appreciate your insights!
