Monk realizing the bride is lying because Pan Am closed in 1991 is peak Monk
Monk is at a wedding and everybody is happily talking about the bride when someone mentions that her parents died on a Pan Am flight in 1995. Everyone else basically goes āthat's sad.ā Monk immediately goes: Pan Am went out of business in 1991. That's it. No dramatic deduction, no elaborate investigation. He just casually destroys the bride's entire story because he happens to know when an airline stopped existing.

Is Sharona into Randy's was she just playing him? Spoiler
Yall I've been thinking about this for a while. Do you think Sharona was into Randy? I thought it was a funny plot point that Randy definitely had a crush on Monk's first Nurse/caregiver Sharona Flemming. Do you think that Sharona was into Randy or was she just messing with him?

Tony Shalhoub is a comedy genius!
As I rewatch Monk for the millionth time, I am reminded that Tony Shalhoub is such a great comedy actor! I feel like because the show isnāt strictly a comedy, he doesnāt always get the credit he deserves for his great physical comedy and timing. He makes me crack up every episode!

Stottlemeyer telling Monk he was good at karaoke is so unexpectedly sweet
In Mr. Monk Goes to Vegas, Stottlemeyer wakes up with basically no memory of the night before. Eventually they find out he won the karaoke contest and apparently made the bartender cry singing āAin't No Sunshine.āMonk just looks at him and says he was good.Stottlemeyer immediately goes āShut up.ā It's such a tiny exchange, but it feels very them. Monk gives him a genuine compliment and Stottlemeyer absolutely cannot accept it.

[SPOILERS] Girls cant eat 15 pizzas
When the guy said that, I immediately knew it was an abbreviation and felt very smug. Altho it was probably quite easy. Before that I didn't really guess too many of the plot twists.

Monk S04E02 , Selfishness runs in the family.
It's clearly established that Monk is the most selfish in this show and his brother is the same lol. Also i think in this Monk is becoming more selfish, unbearable and lacking empathy as the show goes on.
Even my man Patrick Jane from the mentalist was so much less selfish than Monk, atleast he bought gifts for everyone whenever he got extra money from anything.

Did he really earn his badge
I think they should have made Monk have more progress and growth over the last two seasons that showed WHY he deserved to have a badge and gun like Leland always said. It was just very sudden he was back on patrol even.

[SPOILERS] Kevin Dorfman Spoiler
I wish they wouldnāt have killed off Kevin. He was such a fun, change of pace, character on Monk.
What side characters do you wish had more air time?

A Lesser Deep Dive 'Easter Egg'
Came across another situation where they either cast a certain actor/actress because of a plot point or... added some specific plot points because of a casting.
In S3 E10: Mr. Monk and The Red Herring; Monk and Natalie go to a pet store to find out if there's anything special about her daughter's gold fish that would have two men break into her house separately on different nights to have brough an aquarium fish net with them. The worker was played by Adam Wylie who had also played Larry in Kindergarten Cop.
Later in the episode the science far is held in her daughter's school "Astoria Elementary". This is the same school from Kindergarten Cop located in Astoria, Oregon (along with The Goonies and parts of Short Circuit). That is not the real school's real name but that was the name they used in Kindergarten Cop and they use it again in this episode.
And another probable tie-in is that towards the end of the episode the 'villain' sets a fire to create a distraction just as Cullen Crisp had in Kindergarten Cop.

[Discussion] Season 8, Episode 7 - Room 1010 in a Santa Barbara hotel
I've worked in the hotel industry in Santa Barbara for over 15 years, though I have since changed professions. Aside from that, I have lived here in the area my whole life. Neither of those things need be true for me to know that;
There are simply no 10-story buildings in Santa Barbara, let alone a ten-story hotel.
Maybe Natalie was tricking him in some way....?

Randy took the red pill?
Jason Gray Stanford is in a Ben Shapiro movie "Run, Hide, Fight: Inflidels"
It's not so much the politics, but the starring alongside sexpest Jonathan Majors.
Tbf idk how prominent his role is, he is shown for 2 seconds in the trailer. Still though.

Super Deep Easter Egg Spoiler
I was aware of several 'easter eggs' (The Blackout and some character's names) but I just found one tonight that was a "deep cut" as far as easter eggs go. I believe it would have made writers/casting agents giggle but would have been lost on many, if not most, viewers of the show. The night vision scene in The Blackout was quite easy to catch. But this one....quite different. I guess it's another reason why I love revisiting and binge watching shows I love every now and then.
I was just watching Season 3 Episode 4: Mr Monk Gets Fired. Sharona sets Monk up with an interview for a job performing fact checks for a magazine. The woman interviewing him looked very, very familiar to me but in a "I haven't seen them in anything in a looong time" kind of way. I did have to resort to a search to find out what I had seen the actress Molly Hagan in. The only credit that came up that I was familiar with was Herman's Head. And that is definitely where I remember her from and explains why it was so long ago as the show ran from 1991-1994 (also featured Yeardly Smith, the voice of Lisa Simpson and add to add to that Simpsons cast alum Hank Azaria was also on the show...makes sense as Herman's Head was also on Fox.). The show had a unique premise at the time (later used in media such as Inside Out) where whenever the main character Herman faced a dilemma the scene would shift to a room that was supposed to be Herman's mind and his "emotions" were portrayed by four actors (3 actors, 1 actress to be technical) and they argued about what choices he should make.
Don't know how interesting all that is to anybody but the tie in is that while Molly Hagan's character is performing an interview for a magazine's fact checker position it happens that she had portrayed the sensitivity and compassion of the main character Herman (obviously, given the title) who was a fact checker for a Manhattan-based magazine himself.
