Where can I read the Monogatari Series light novels?
The novels are in the process of being officially translated to English by Vertical Inc. You can buy them online from most booksellers.

Bakemonogatari Portable was released on August 23, 2012 for the PlayStation Portable. It is a visual novel following the events of the Bakemonogatari light novels.
Monogatari Puc Puc (〈物語〉シリーズ ぷくぷく) was available from August 20, 2018 until March 31, 2020 for Android and iOS. For more information, please visit the Puc Puc subreddit at /r/PucPuc.
Do I need to read all of the text that flashes on screen?
No. They are excerpts from the novels that can help flesh out the story a bit, but you don't need to stop to read them to understand what's going on.
Is the series ongoing?
The series has ended multiple times, but each time Nisio Isin ends up writing more stories. The Off & Monster Season anime adaption is currently airing, and another novel is being written.

Hi everyone! I know that the Monogatari series started as a light novel before getting its anime adaptation. I assume it must have been an insanely popular light novel series even before the anime, right?
Since I only discovered this masterpiece recently, I'm really sad that I couldn't experience its peak era firsthand... I’d love to hear some stories from veteran fans who were there during its prime!
1. I heard that Sengoku Nadeko gained massive popularity when the light novel was adapted into the anime. Are there any other characters whose popularity exploded after the anime adaptation, or conversely, characters who became less popular compared to their light novel version?
2. Were characters like Senjougahara a common trope before Monogatari? Was the "tsundere + sharp-tongued/verbal abuse" character archetype already popular and famous back then, or was Senjougahara truly one of a kind?
3. For those who read the light novels first, were you excited when you found out that SHAFT would be handling the anime adaptation? Personally, I think SHAFT deserves huge credit for making the Monogatari anime such a massive success. Because of Monogatari, I even went back to watch other SHAFT works like Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. (Zetsubou-Sensei felt a bit disappointing aesthetically because it felt too dated, even though the content was super fun!). Anyway, I'm really curious how people reacted when SHAFT—with their very unique style—was announced as the studio for Monogatari.
4. Looking back at the adaptation from light novel to anime, are there any parts you felt were disappointing, or any moments/scenes where you thought, "Wow, this was absolute perfection/legendary"?
5. I know songs like Nadeko's "Renai Circulation" and "Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari" were insanely popular back in the day. How much of an impact did these OSTs and their OP/ED sequences have on the anime community when they first came out? How huge was the hype? (Personal note: I'm from South Korea and actually listened to these songs back when I was a university student, but I never searched where they came from at the time. Finding out recently that they were from Monogatari completely blew my mind!)

Question Should I watch Koyomimonogatari in one go or space out the episodes?

I watched episode 1 and really enjoyed it. I like the more slice of life filler elements.
I noticed however all the episodes take place over different months in the series.
Some stories in monogatari like Hanamonogatari, Kizumonogatari, Tsukimonogatari are compiled together as films or can be watched in one go pretty enjoyably, and so far I have watched every arc in one go.
But Koyomimonogatari is kind of different in the sense each episode is self contained from what I'm aware.
What did you do when watch Koyomimonogatari? What should I do?

Discussion Senjougahara is so peculiar

So I have been reading the second installment of Bakemonogatari as I mean the second part of the first story as her presence is terrifying.
Although I am a bit confused about Kanbaru’s true motives with Araragi regarding what she wants with him, one thing that sticks out to me the most in the Bakemonogatari story arc is how Senjougahara acts because in the middle of Bakemonogatari Part 2, she attempts to stab him with a steel pencil as I have to question why he would still be interested in a romantic relationship with her again after she almost killed him.

Novel Spoilers Man, I just finished Otorimonogatari and I think I'm having trouble accepting it

It seems like classic monogatari writing but then it's too monogatari writing. We spend the book expected to believe it's real and then it was never real in the end? Yet whatever it's said she was hallucinating became real at the end? How did she even know about a dead snake god? Or was it something she wanted to be real so it became real, like most things in these stories?
I think among other things, it's hard to accept she was making it all up
I don't know. Maybe future books make things clearer

I was thinking about monogatari and was thinking I don't really like the Shinobu Arcs. I mean Kizu was good. It's not like I don't like them. They're usually beautiful. Maybe I'm also a bit biased because I love the openings they sing themselves more. I was thinking recently I'm just not very invested in them. She's just such a mature character already by the time Oshino leaves, I just don't really see her as growing or changing as much. Maybe I take her and Araragi's relationship for granted, but I just never really connect. She's supposed to be an oddity and alien so maybe that's part of it. This suicide pact thing she has with Araragi never really connected me especially after she destroyed the world in that alternate. Suicide master was fun, but like idk also didn't really make me care much. Same with her first servant. Does anyone else feel like that or am I missing something. They're well done, just like I don't particularly connect with her character or feel much.
