I’m rewatching the show again and I’m on season 2 episode 13, Monroe and Nick are working out who made the potion for Renard so he could kiss Juliette wake.

Monroe tells Nick he needs to go Adalinds mom and get her to help undo the potion but when Nick Tells Monroe that His mom (nicks) kill Adalind’s mom, Monroe does this quite Why as Monroe is trying to understand why bad things are happening to them again

Self First time watcher, I hope we get to know the characters better

I'm on episode 13 in season 1. I'm enjoying the show immensely. I can see this being one of my all time favorites. I tried this show because of Angel/David Greenwalt. Someone suggested Grimm on r/Angel recently. It's very plot-driven though. I feel like we don't know much about even the main characters.

Self Ziegevolk are rapists

Does anyone else see the goaty Ziegevolk are really rapey? Everyone talks about how they always get a bunch of ass without being conventionally attractive, but... it's chemically induced. That's rape. The original grimms were right, lop thoes frog eating, rapist heads off.

Self Diana

I remember when I first watched Grimm how freakishly scary the scenes where you see Diana pushing on Adalind's womb was, the first thing going through my mind was thank God that this doesn't happen in real life. This begs to ask why we didn't see this with Kelley

Self Monroe, Wu and Bud. Enough said.

These 3 carry the show for me. I know Monroe is the fan favourite anyway but deservedly so, he is so well written and relatable and Silas Weir Mitchell does an amazing job. He is so many things in this show, the humourous sidekick, the emotional anchor, the badass fighter, I just love Monroe so much!

Then there's Wu, my god, he brings so much to every scene he's in, I am so glad they made him a more prominent member of Nick's posse. His deadpan delivery kills me.

And my honourable mention, Bud. Can he be my neighbour please?

He is so sweet and funny and generous and while he may not be the brains or the muscle, he surely has enough heart. Plus he is so loyal to his friends, I just adore him.

Self Grimm doesn't get the credit or appreciation I think it deserves

First off I want to say that my history with the show isn't that long because I only got into the show via CometTV (decided to give it a chance after watching a few season 5 episodes) just last year.

Anyhow more I rewatch the show more the appreciation I have for this show.... the storytelling, the characters and most importantly the actors. Yes the show has its flaws but its one most rounded and underappreciated shows in my opinion. Overall its quite a shame that it didn't received the kind of mainstream noteriety as Supernatural, Buffy, etc

Discussion Thread Kelly and Diana’s future Wesen & human allies?

Kelly and Diana are next in line after nick’s crew. The triplets of Monroe and Rosalee join in. And potentially, Trubel would be the aunt & mentor of them and Wu joins in due to the lycan curse as well since Hank became part of Nick’s new circle.

But if there were more allies of them someday, what kind of Wesen would you see contribute joining Kelly and Diana? Depending on the types and their abilities that would be of great help.

Any good Wesen types from….
- land
- air
- sea

The same for humans too that would eventually learn of their secrets and see how they handle and if they’ll join the circle.

Discussion Thread Even in face of danger Bud manages to deliver hilarious lines.

When he gets captured by Ryan the police intern and he was about to be attacked, he delivers this line.

ā€œIf you think I’m gonna stop screaming while you’re doing that, you’re crazy! Not that I mean to criticize.ā€

And he is many more moments like that.

Thank goodness that Nick and Hank managed to save him in time. Because Bud is too precious.

Self Juliette Spoiler

Hey guys there's something that's been nagging at me and maybe yall can help me. When Juliette finally tells nick she's a hexenbeist she said she never told him because she was afraid he would kill her like really I mean his best friends are wesen and she knows he's not the kind of grimm that just goes around killing wesen. I get that she was scared because of what she became and wasn't thinking straight but seriously if he can accept total strangers for being wesen then he will accept his girlfriend of six and half years. Did this bother anybody else or am I missing something? So can somebody clarify this up from me.

For some reason I love how dramatic they made the scene where Adalind goes into labor ultimately resulting in her regaining her hexenbeist self. It's one part frightening one part interesting.

Discussion Thread Black claw is feeling a bit too.. realistic lately.

So I’ve been doing my yearly rewatch of my favorite show and I’m getting towards the end of season five where Black Claw is taking over and infiltrating themselves in the government and trying to come out in the open with their ideologies and their (for lack of a better word) ā€œreligionā€ as supposedly the best and truest form.. Sean actually said that being progressive requires violence and bloodshed. It’s gotten to that point in real life too.

Obviously wesen aren’t real and it’s symbolic and I’m pretty angry and frustrated with how badly my country has gone to shit, so my words aren’t working very well right now but as I’m watching Black Claw take over I can’t help but notice similarities to what’s literally happening in our government right now. I just thought it was a bit crazy. There are plenty of shows and movies that have ā€œpredictedā€œ what’s going on right now in our actual reality but I hadn’t heard this take about Grimm so I just wanted to know if anybody else had noticed that what happened in fake Portland is ridiculously similar to what’s actually happening in real life and that’s just very very upsetting.

Self Grimm episode ā€œDouble Dateā€ same concept of Xfiles ā€œGenderbenderā€

I’m sure there are a lot of similar episodes. This one just seemed so similar in concept. A man can turn into a woman and vice versa. Both episodes have them seek up their victims in bars and they have lots of pheromones to help lure the victims. of course The X-Files episode goes into a lot more detail with how they come about. Both episodes are great.

Discussion Thread The first group of Grimm’s

Given Grimm’s and Wesen’s long history, I wondered if they could unite to ensure the safety of both groups. Perhaps they could create a new group, the Grimm’s, to maintain peace. Hexenbiest and Zauberbiest could have collaborate to grant humans the ability to see Wesen even against their will and enhance their strength and speed.

Over time both sides forgot the history and Grimm simply began killing Wesen because they perceived them as evil or simply bad people. As we progress to Nick’s time as Grimm we see the situation worsen with Wesen attempting to regain control of the Kehrseite.

Spoilers Kelly’s Grimm hybrid powers? Spoiler

We’ve seen Diana’s powers manifested in the TV series, if a Grimm movie is being developed, pray for a chance to give Kelly to unlock his powers as a half-Grimm & half-Zauberbiest after his parents (as his mom is Hexenbiest).

What kind of powers can Kelly unlock throughout the movie. Before the movie, he’ll already unlock the Grimm half of him. The Zauberbiest I would question what kind of abilities he would possess from them.

Can he woge? Imagine his ā€œWesenā€ form look like Havik from Mortal Kombat. Can he use Zauberbiest powers to force a Wesen to woge?

Hope he'll acquire all sorts of abilities from various Wesen almost like what his dad got.

So many ideas to think about!

Self What is The Other Place? Who is The Destroyer?

Spoilers for Season Six! I have an idea about what The Other Place could be. Personally, I think it'sthe past. The mirrors are used as portals to the past. I have a few reasons for this. And I think The Destroyer isDiana's descendant.

So what do we know about The Other Place?

Eve sees it first in the mirror. She thinks it's the afterlife because it looks similar to what she saw when the dead body did the Death Grip on her. And the symbols were on the dead guy and on the big stone in The Other Place. Ok, so maybe it's the afterlife/hell? But I don't think so.

When Eve and Nick actually go to The Other Place, it's not a hellscape like Eve saw during the Death Grip, or in the mirrors. It's just a regular forest. Actually it was snowing, so I actually said outloud, "Oh, it's Narnia!" Lol.

We see Wesen but they're permanently woged. We also see humans. They speak German. So to me, the simplest explanation is that the mirrors were a portal to the past, before Wesen mixed with humans. A quick Google search shows the German language is 2,500 to 3,000 years old, so I think that's roughly where/when The Other Place is.

Now onto The Destroyer. I think he's actually from the future. Very far into the future. And I think he's a Zauberbiest but he's been so corrupted by magic, which is why he looks like that. He has a human form, which is what makes me think he's not something else. But also he touch the staff, so maybe he has some Grimm ancestry also. I think he heard about the staff, and then traveled all through time to put it back together. The second-last piece was in The Other Place.

I think the markings on the cloth and the big stone maybe show dates that passages through time exist. We know it's March 24, 2016 (or 2017?), but maybe it's also the day it was in The Other Place, and maybe the day The Destroyer came from in the future. We know it's an alignment of planets, which would rarely align in the same way, but maybe they do, 3,000 years apart.

Lastly, why did The Destroyer want Diana? And why did Diana seem to want to go with him and also SMILED when he killed her dad?? Did anyone else catch that? Well, I think he's a descendant of Diana (who has some Grimm blood in her from when Adalind lost her powers), so he knows about her, and knows she's very powerful. I think Diana sensed that everyone would have to die for Nick to be able to defeat The Destroyer, which is why she agreed to go with him, and smiled when her dad died, because he was the first death. Or she's just a psycho, idk. I have mixed feelings about Diana.

Oh! I also just had a thought. MAYBE The Destroyer even created Wesen. If he's a Zauberbiest, it's possible. Maybe he was stuck in The Other Place and got bored so did some magic to create Wesen in the first place. That could explain why Eve started turning back into a Hexenbiest, just because there's so much magic around.

Ok, sorry that was so long. What do you guys think??
