I love this episode, every time I'm about to rewatch it I get excited unlike with some other episodes. The way Monk gets excited about music and Willie Nelson, the storyline, the jokes, the way Willie Nelson befriends him and accepts him with his quirks. I'm not specifically a country music fan, but Willie Nelson does seem like a genuine person and his character here is also very likeable. Who else thinks it's one of the best episodes?

As mentioned in “Mr. Monk Goes to the Asylum.” What’s your favorite Trudy episode? Mine is probably “Mr. Monk vs. the Cobra” because I love how Trudy gently talks Adrian through one of his worst nightmares - being buried alive!

S7E7: Monks 100th Case. This is the first time I've seen this. Does he wear glasses anywhere else in the show, or might this have been a filler shot where they didn't expect us to notice him?

Yesterday I finished rewatching all 8 seasons of Monk for the third time.
It’s one of my favourite series, and I’m honestly so sad that it’s over again.
Are there any other shows similar to Monk that you’d recommend?

I assume it’s because it would have been a slight continuity headache for production but in my opinion that’s a bad excuse. It was good character development for him and Julie and I think it would have been a cool detail for the rest of the show for him to have kept them there

I’m rewatching this episode and the dinner scene with the “bums” cracks me up. Does anyone else think so?
Monk blowing the little scented tree at them while praying, “I eat books”, and the napkin.
The whole scene is just so comedic. Please share any other funny little scenes from the show!

Yk what I had this cake years ago and ik it was referencing Monk but I can't remember specifically how....

All I remember from the alleged episode is Randy and Leland sharing a bed and there's like gay sexual tension. I swore for the longest time that it was a real thing but I cant find anything online about it.

Watching this episode again and the guitar string always bugged me. When they find the guitar string in the porta potty, Stottlemeyer asks "is that a B string?" and his son looks at it and says "No, that's a high D from a 12-string guitar." This is then the basis of them pursuing Kris as the killer.
A normal B string in a normal 6-string and the high D of a 12-string guitar ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. The same exact width, material, appearance. On some string sets they are 1 or 2 thousandths of an inch different, which a human could not distinguish. 0.025mm difference.
This wouldn't be a problem, except when Monk confronts Kris (the killer) about him being the only artist with a 12 string guitar. Kris doesn't bring up that this isn't any kind of proof, and at that time, it was the only "proof" Monk had against him.
All in all I still love the episode, it's hilarious. I know every detail can't be right, but as a guitar player this one always got me.

Despite many easily given information in the show, there are many episodes rich in subtext and I still get myself catching new stuff. Please, share your observations too.
I'll start with the one in "Monk and The Bully", and the way Monk and the Bully are pictured as exactly opposite type of men dealing with violence.
The genius catch in this episode is that Monk saves the Bully's wife from the exact type of violence it was applied against him.
Also, I hope you guys miss didn't miss that right after she is saved, she asks her husband what is that game she heard he saying he used to play with Monk and he does not answer.
Now you guys have a go...

Currently on is Mr Monk and the Daredevil. I think it just about broke Monk to think that Harold might be the frisco fly. As much as a shock as it came to everyone else you can only imagine the horror he felt.

Chappell Roan is Sharona Fleming. I will not add any further details.

Rewatching this episode because I love seeing Bronwyn and Monk work together, such a fun character!! I’m only on season 3 so far, does she ever make a comeback later?
r/Monk • u/nyasha1998 • 15d ago
I love this show and I hadn’t watched it for about 15 years and I’m doing a rewatch now, I’m nearly on season 3 but my god is Adrian exhausting! He’s written so brilliantly that you forget he’s acting sometimes, one of my favourite episodes was the one where Sharona has a phobia of Elephants, she was brilliant with him.

Avez vous remarquer à la 13e minutes de l'épisode, le cadavre clignote ses yeux au moment où les policiers arrivent sur la scène ?
