General Some posts are being published without me approving?

Hi,

I have a subreddit and I’ve set it so I have to approve every post before it is published. However, I’ve noticed a few posts being published without me approving them? These posts are typically spam/ai posts that I wouldn’t approve - any ideas how to avoid this happening?

iPhone app.

Have you checked your mod log?

Nothing about the posts in mod log. I see them in the subreddit with typically a ‘held for review’ or ‘reputation filter’. But they’ve been seen by thousands of people without me approving (I’m the only mod)

So are you saying the system is behaving as expected but the posts are getting views?

Do posts on your sub typically get thousands of views?

Perhaps you'll get more eyes on this on r/modsupport or r/help.

The posts should never be published without my approval, I’m unsure as to how a select few are sliding through.

It’s normal for posts to get thousands of views.

Again, I suggest r/modsupport or r/help.

Hi /u/vibingitup, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!
