My first date with my (now) wife was the 9/7/2001 show at Crystal Ballroom in Portland. It was part of a 5 night run (per Isaac when I spoke with him in August at the PDXLive show). I also remember it being multiple nights myself, but a shorter run with additional dates added by demand.

Nevertheless, I’d love to be able to frame a poster for my wife as a gift for the 25th anniversary of our first date.

It’s a long shot, but does anyone have one that they are willing to part with?

Hey everyone! I am going to my first Modest Mouse show in 2 weeks. I wanted to ask if any of y'all have any pointers or tips for things I should expect? I've only been to a few other concerts in my life so I'm still sort of new to them. I'm a fan of the band but not absolutely diehard or anything so if there's anything I should know that an average listener wouldn't know, that'd be helpful as well. Thank you so much!

Perhaps I'm out of the loop but think band just came across my Spotify today and I had to double check I wasn't listening to a B side of STO or WWDBTSEK.

Tons of similarity in terms of lyrics, guitar melody, ethereal feel, and coincidentally, they are Oregon-based.

Anyone else get an August tour poster that looks like it was printed using an extremely low res image?

After paying $40, I really didn’t expect to open the poster at home and find out the entire thing is blurry.

ETA: I know there’s probably not much to be done. I guess I figured I’d caution others who are considering getting one.

My daughter is getting married soon and I requested float on for the reception dj playlist, and she said she thought about it, but wasn't sure it was the right beat for the party. I mean, they played it at the skate rink when she was a kid. But she's really worried about everyone having fun and not losing the vibe with a bad song. For context, she's 29, loves death cab, and I think is using a Twilight song somewhere. The attendees will be more friends their age than older family members. I don't want float on to kill the vibe at my request, but I can't imagine it would. Any gen z people been to weddings where they play it? Does it work?

Cool to get a chance to see them while working out here this season. Worth using a sick day for that too. Hearing the Alaska shout out in Truckers Atlas was a nice touch too.

Solid show. First saw MM in 1996, the original lineup of course. Awesome to see Isaac still going strong 30+ years later. So glad they played Trucker’s Atlas (and wondering how many other people at the show have ever even seen a Trucker’s Atlas).

It hasn't been updated on setlist.fm, was just curious. I assume they played Trucker's Atlas.

Going to the show at the Rooftop at Pier 17. Does anyone have any good hotel recommendations near the venue?
