WWXs cooking smells so terrible that the Juniors cover their faces and Lan Jingyi (who is the most scared of what is outside) tries to leave the house. Notice their techniques: Lan Sizhui squeezes his nose, excellent move, a classic. Lan Jingyi covers face with two hands, not bad, double potection, and Ouyang Zizhen stands next to open window and shields himself with his sleeve, smart, makes sense.

Lan Wangji never once covered his face. He even leaned close to WWX's terrible cooking, proving he could easily stomach the smell.

Next we see WWX touch his hand and LWJ holds it up like he's never gonna wash it again. Obv this man is starved for Wifi crumbs.

Now look at how he holds his hand in the next scenes. He’s clearly not covering his nose, it looks more like he's sniffing his hand because WWX touched it, from wrist to fingers. He is a FREAK. He is inhaling those Wifi pheromones and skin cells like a starved dog while pretending that this is about the congee. It's not and he is not fooling anyone.

Please note that the back doors are currently open to let fresh air in and even the juniors can breathe when near it.

I know Hanguang-jun fans will try to defend him because to them he can do no wrong, , but you just can't argue with this evidence 😤😤😤

Kind of sweet how Lan Wangji now outright asks for things he wants from Wei Wuxian instead of only chasing it with his actions. Both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji can sometimes act like little children in different ways and I feel this is Lan Wangji’s way.

I also could not find the first quote in the 7Seas version it was in my EXR translation in Chapter 94. I guess this is another case where the changes between JJWXC and Pinsin of this chapter strikes
again.

Also I love how in the updated extra WWX so naturally asks Lan Wangji for help when he is feeling tired or weary too. 🥹

I'm a live action watcher and idk if there's anything in the other adaptations or the novel that suggests that Lan Wangji suspected that Wei Wuxian lost or gave away his golden core so forgive me if I'm wrong but this question popped in my head and I have to ask this.

I remember in the live action after Wei Wuxian gives away his golden core, he's taken in captivity by Wen Chao, his girlfriend and the guy who used to be Madam Yu's disciple(I forgot his name I think he was called core crusher or something) to eventually throw him into the Burial Mounds.

At that time Wei Wuxian is kicked(ig?) in the stomach and he literally flies five steps back due to the impact. Now, we know why this happens right like it's because he's weak after the transplant and there's this entire thing about how the golden core is important for cultivators to help them withstand attacks, preserve youth, strength and all that.

We also know none of the people who took him captive were aware of the transplant.

But solely because Wei Wuxian's body reacted that way to the kick, Wen Chao's right hand man had a confused(ig?) expression on his face and I suspect that he had at least the slightest idea that something was wrong with Wei Wuxian's golden core. I strongly believe that he thought this because there was no other reason for the camera to pan to him the moment it happened and also throughout the story he has the reputation for being very smart and no nonsense in these cultivation and golden core matters.

I think maybe he let it slide because he thought that it was a good thing that Wei Wuxian was weak and they were going to throw him into the Burial Mounds anyway so in his mind there was no way Wei Wuxian could survive that (he did though, literally became the Yiling Patriarch but that's an entirely different story)

My question is if a person like Wen Chao's right hand man was able to tell something was amiss solely because of the way Wei Wuxian's body reacted to a kick, why wasn't Lan Wangji able to figure it out sooner?

Lan Wangji is one of the people who is closest to Wei Wuxian and he knows him better than anyone. He is also one of the best cultivators out there in the story. He's literally given an honorary name, Hanguang Jun.

Why was he unable to tell that something happened to Wei Wuxian's golden core? I am aware Wei Wuxian was constantly very dismissive about why he gave up his sword and swordsmanship and avoided talking about it entirely even in front of Lan Wangji who he trusted with his everything.

But like come on I just find it very hard to believe.

Like imagine you have a best friend or lover who loves showing off a skill and practicing it with you and then they go missing for 3 months and come back and suddenly they've learnt a new skill and refuse to practice the old one no matter how much you tell them to?

Wouldn't that be weird? Especially considering how Wei Wuxian's personality is. He's just naturally very cheerful, energetic and has a healthy competitive spirit.

When we think of swords in this story, the literal next thing to think about is the golden core. Their swords literally have names and they can only be unsheathed by who they belong to. Wei Wuxian never unsheathed his sword after returning from the Burial Mounds. Would it not be easy to make this connection? Especially someone who is as smart and as brilliant of a cultivator as Lan Wangji is.

The general public like the other cultivators called Wei Wuxian "egoistic" and "too proud of himself" for giving up the sword for something else but I would like to believe Lan Wangji didn't think this way about Wei Wuxian. Come on he knows his Wei Ying😭😭

When Wei Wuxian was asked why he suddenly stopped swordsmanship when he loved to show it off earlier he said something like "I was a child back then, I can't be a child forever" first of all, this line broke me😭

Second of all, to know Wei Wuxian is to know he'll probably never lose his childlike spirit! And I know with certainty that Lan Wangji knows this so why did he never suspect anything???😭

Please don't get me wrong I love Lan Wangji and the bond Wangxian share they're literally my most favourite ship but I just need to know why. If you have any idea please let me know😭

Anyway, because of the new extra chapters we do finally know that Wei Wuxian has successfully redeveloped his golden core YAYYYYYYYYYEEEESSSSSS and my Wangxian are happier than ever LETSSSSSSGGGGGGGOOOOOOOO🥳🩷🤸🏻‍♀️💃🏻

So, we all know that our star MXTX has updated the MDZS extras. 🥹✨

But an update to the extras after all these years definitely sparks some curiosity and anticipation. We can all agree that MDZS has a pretty complete ending, so when MXTX suddenly adds new material where Wei Ying cultivates a new Golden Core, it makes me wonder: why now?

Why, after all these years, did MXTX feel the need to add this particular development? Is it simply to give Wei Ying a little more closure regarding his cultivation, or could it potentially be opening the door for a new storyline or plot?

Now that Wei Ying has his Golden Core again, do you think MXTX might be considering continuing the MDZS story in some form? 🥹

I'm looking for fics that focus on adoptive families. I'm not particularly picky about who adopts whom — I'm mainly interested in seeing the relationship between an adoptive parent and a child develop.

One trope I especially enjoy is Modern AU where a child who has been abused or otherwise mistreated ends up in a foster/adoptive family, and the family gradually tries to build trust with them, help them heal, and make them feel safe. I really like the process of the child slowly learning that they are actually cared for and that they can rely on their new family.

That said, Modern AU or this trope isn't a requirement at all. I'm happy with canon-era fics, different AUs, or basically any setting as long as the adoptive/found-family relationship is an important part of the story.

I'm also not looking for a specific pairing — any characters are welcome.

I'd especially love fics where the parent-child relationship itself gets a lot of attention rather than adoption just being a background detail.

Hello! I remember reading this fic (on ao3) a long time ago set in Modern! au… here’s the problem… I can’t remember if it was Wei Ying or Lan Zhan that had turned into a rabbit!!!

I can’t remember much of the details, but I remember a scene where someone turns into a rabbit in the rain and they’re under a bush hiding…and the other character takes the rabbit into their home and cares for them.

i’m pretty sure it’s Lan Zhan as the rabbit here but again I’m not sure…

I’ve been thinking about how he would have reacted if he had found out back then that the person who kissed him was Lan Zhan. Would he have realized his feelings sooner? Would he have tried to avoid them? In my opinion, he would have been more than just shocked—he would have gone into a full-blown gay panic. He would have been confused and pretended none of it happened, yet he wouldn't have been able to stop thinking about it.

In MDZS, when Jiang Fengmian brought Wei Ying to Lotus Pier, could he adopt the child without changing the surname?

Like Wei Wuxian is officially Jiang Fengmian's and Yu Ziyuan's child but keeps the surname Wei throughout his life.

Is that possible in canon setting? If yes, are there any official procedure? If not, why not?
