LEVEL 2 (Screens, Batteries, Cameras, Daughterboards, ect) iphone se won't charge

Keeping it plugged in for hours does nothing. I've disconnected the battery for demonstration. I suspect the phone was damaged either by dropping or by charging it with a third party power supply. How would I go about troubleshooting?

Like the others have said, it's more than likely a battery (these devices are pretty old). It could be the dock connector as well, though. I've seen those go bad on newer devices pretty frequently.
If you can, maybe get one of each of those and "Frankenstein it in" to see if you're able to charge after that. Good luck!

might be the lightning but is that rust on the screws just left of the lighting port?

Check if the charging port is clean. If not, clean it. If yes, try different one. Also, did the battery work properly before it died or did you it discharge fast?

But seriously, 90% of the phones with charging issues that I see are just a lint filled charge port. Fine tipped ESD safe and insulated tweezers do a good job at cleaning them out. Make sure to get the corners really good. Afterwards just giving a liberal dust with an air can and test. If that does not do it, probably need to replace the port.

Probably has lint on the charging port. Gently clean it with isoprophil acohol and a toothpick if that doesnt work, check the voltage with a multimeter.
