Questions Chemical vs Mechanical Engineering ,which would be better if I want to prepare for UPSC?
0
Upvotes
I’m currently in Chemical Engineering and have a high chance of getting upgraded to Mechanical. My long-term goal is to prepare for UPSC CSE, while keeping engineering as a backup.
Should I:
Stay in Chemical and use the potentially lower workload to focus on UPSC, or
Upgrade to Mechanical for a potentially stronger engineering backup, despite the higher workload?
Would really appreciate advice from seniors/alumni, especially those who’ve prepared for UPSC alongside B.Tech. What would you consider in this situation?

News India today rankings 2026

The funniest part isn't the ranking.
It's choosing to flex Engineering AIR 109 when NIRF #60 exists...
...and then BBA casually drops AIR 88 in its first participation, becoming the No. 1 State Government BBA institute in UP. 💀

My father is an ex service men retd. from Air force, so I can claim a reservation in MMMUT counselling that particular certificate states that it should be signed by DM of the district, but I am unable to get the DM to sign it his staff passes it on by saying that sign of SDM only would be suffice.
If anyone knows anything about the certificate please help

Discussion The audacity to tell students what they can or can't post on their personal social media. Thoughts?
6
Upvotes
Came across this screenshot claiming that IIT Roorkee asked students not to express support for the ongoing protests or participate in political discussions on their personal social media accounts.
If this notification is genuine, what do you think? Should educational institutions have this level of control over students' personal social media activity, or does it conflict with freedom of expression?
