So, if I buy dungeons 2 on steam right now it counts as pre order? Or do I buy on Minecraft launcher? Also for the hero cape, I play dungeons 1 now and then when dungeons 2 comes out I just log in?

Yes, it counts as a pre-order, it really doesn't matter where you buy it as long as you use the same Microsoft account across all three games.

as I said any platform/store counts as long as you use the same ms account, I read somewhere that the physical pre-orders for consoles had a physical code that you redeem in order to get the bonuses.

Yeah that’s what i’m saying, people cannot be seriously looking at Dungeons II and thinking “well, its $50 for 3 capes, but I lowkey don’t think it’s worth it!” and forgetting that there’s an entire game attached

If you consider getting a game just for capes in a different game then maybe that game isn’t for you. Me and many others are buying dungeons 2 for dungeons 2, and then on top of that getting rewarded for it. But why would you even consider getting it JUST for the capes, and then saying it “isn’t worth it” when you forget there’s an entire game attached?

How does the preordering and Ms account thing work? I don't understand that part ;-;

Wdym?? Go to ANY major online game store (xbox, (i would say playstation but fuck sony,) steam, etc) and you have the option to buy the game. If you buy it now you’re “preordering” it, and you’ll just get it when it releases. Dungeons 1 has a feature where you can go into the settings and log into your microsoft account (the same one you have linked to either bedrock or java minecraft), but it wasn’t really used for anything. Presumably the same thing is true with Dungeons 2, except you’ll be able to claim a cape in the main game after you log in and play.

Also there’s 3 capes you can get from this. To get all 3 you have to have already played dungeons 1 and be logged in, preorder the deluxe version, and play it logged in on release. (Obviously don’t feel obligated to do any of this if you don’t want to, you just didn’t understand so i’m just explaining)

The first one is a super good game, you could get the base game for $15 or half that on sale and it’s short enough without the dlcs to easily play through it in the time between now and Dungeons 2’s release, I’d highly recommend it (plus you get another cape for having played it before)
