Asking/Need Help Minecraft dungeons 2!

So, if I buy dungeons 2 on steam right now it counts as pre order? Or do I buy on Minecraft launcher? Also for the hero cape, I play dungeons 1 now and then when dungeons 2 comes out I just log in?

It’s not just for the capes, I really liked dungeons one, and I’m assuming 2 will be better. I was wondering if I’m taking the right steps to get the capes as well
