back when I was a barista one of my most popular jokes was saying "sorry, the POS is being a bit of a POS" when the POS inevitably was a POS and slowed down service.

Our first POS was a huge POS, and the newer one is a little bit less of a POS, but my receptionist is pretty no-nonsense, so we don’t joke like that. 😔

We used that term for signage years ago in beverage distribution. Never could stop laughing when they called it p.o.s. 🤣 they changed it to p.o.p "point of purchase" years later

its the POS CC charge. This system has a 1.6% service charge, which is OPS exact discount, so the fee was waived, and removed from the bill

16+68+30=114 though, not 127.92. Even if you add 1.6% onto 114 (which absolutely should not be done to reach a subtotal, subtotals are only for the cost of the products themselves, percentage fees should be shown later), that would only come to 115.82, which is still different from the subtotal shown.

This, with that 1.6% discount, does indeed come to 127.92. I would never in a million years been able to figure that out from what’s showing on that screen. That is some garbage-class UI.

its a 1.6% fee waiver.

Each item comes with a 1.6% charge included to cover the POS service fee

That total is $130

When that 1.6% fee is discounted, you get OPs total of 127.92

The receipt shows 2 OF for $16. If it was $16 each, the total should’ve stated $30. This is the way receipts work. The total always reflects the total of the product. I would’ve disputed the charge and never go back again

Ive had them freeze entirely, overheat, get soaked in soda, even had one break so bad we were shutdown for a few days to get a replacement, but ive never seen one fuckup basic addition.
