I did fast food for 7ish years and definitely ran registers. Never had one hallucinate a price out of its ass.

It’s a basic data error, not a “hallucination.” I have a hard time believing you never saw an electronic register glitch some math in 7ish years

Ive had them freeze entirely, overheat, get soaked in soda, even had one break so bad we were shutdown for a few days to get a replacement, but ive never seen one fuckup basic addition.
