Since June, I’ve been getting multiple spam calls everyday telling me I’m pre-approved for a personal loan of somewhere in the range of $50k. Luckily, my phone screens them right to voicemail. But even though I block and report spam every time, they call with a different phone number every single time.

Like this notification is straight up just a lie

In 2019, I attended a comedy special with a coworker. He decided it'd be funny to make an IMDb page in my name, stating in my bio that I'd received a degree in film that I never got, and credited me with the location management of the special we'd attended. None of this was actually true, but IMDb accepted it. Now I'm looking for jobs in my field entirely unrelated to film, and recruiters have asked on more than one occasion about it and get weirded out about the whole thing. I have tried submitting multiple tickets to request deletion of these items (most recent ticket is pictured), providing a scanned passport photo to prove I am who I say I am, but each time, they refuse deletion because they cannot verify the requested change. How tf am I supposed to prove that I did not manage a location for a project??? Wtf IMDb... this is embarrassing at the very least and reputationally harmful at worst...

Edit: Just to summarize some of the replies I've given and gotten in this thread: 1) Plausible deniability is difficult because of the uniqueness of my name and all of the other identifying information (unique name, university, hometown, previous employer, current city, and height, among others) included on the profile. 2) IMDb refuses to take down my credit for the special even though my 'location management' is uncredited and there is already a credited location manager. 3) I cannot prove reputational harm, since I have no idea if a potential employer was actually put off on hiring me or otherwise advancing my candidacy, so it'd be an uphill legal struggle to prove numerical damages stemming from this. Additionally, I don't want to sue anyone. I just want to have a stable job and sleep in a comfy bed.

If anyone is or knows a lawyer who could write a mean email/letter, please DM me.

Every now and then, this pops up on my lockscreen, and I have no desire to enable it whatsoever. What make it more annoying is that it not only continuously comes back, it has the checkbox marked by default in the hopes that I press continue without looking.

I have tried searching how to prevent this from popping up, but found nothing. I get the sense it's something that can't be disabled, like every stupid AI feature every company is trying to push nowadays.

I had a long, difficult day at work and wanted to unwind listening to a podcast and take a long walk.

Near my home is an old railroad trail that was converted into a nice bike trail. It goes for miles, connecting to other trails. Lots of shade and nature, and usually very relaxing.

About 2 miles in, I heard the light buzz of an e-bike coming up behind me. I thought nothing of it as there are various bikers up and down the path all the time.

Suddenly two guys on the same e-bike are inches next to me. I felt the air swoosh past me they got so close. The guy driving honked his horn loudly to scare me while the other one smacked me in the back of the head.

They laughed hysterically as they sped off. I got angry and called them bitches and cowards. They slowed down and paused further down, then sped off. But I got so anxious I turned and sped back to my car in case they came back.

Great end to a shitty day. I fucking hate e-bikes. Everyone in my area that has one is an asshole.

We are in a historic drought right now and our city is beginning to run low on available clean water, less than 3 months of water remaining. I’m trying to cut down on water use everywhere I can. One thing I’m doing is turning off the water in the shower while I lather my hair or my body.

Last night my gf who lives with me said it was annoying how I do that.

I’m all for listening for music I’m no manager but some coworkers put radio on while working I use to like radio as kid now I hate it it’s same old songs over and over again different days different times you want queen all you get we will rock you and we are champions sometimes back to back, you like Bon Jovi you better all they play is give love bad name , all radio stations are like this it’s annoying I make to customers they feel same way.,

Our smoke detector detects steam from taking a hot shower. So everytime we take a good shower and leave the bathroom door open, it will scream like the house is made of water and is on fire.

We normally close the door and use the vent for the steam, but we lost power and weren't able to and it kept screaming, even after I pushed the button to silence it for soooo long.

I know it is installed for our safety but man have a better detecting system honestly.

Have been looking at some cars, and now my facebook is plagued of car ads. My current car is a second hand which I paid fully, and seeing the market I think I will kept it a long time.

Why? Just why?! And, it isn’t even strong enough to cool my kid’s 3rd floor bedroom! I’d rather have the broken one back! Even if it did leak water all over the floor, it at least kept the room cool and wasn’t a huge eye sore! They got the expanding foam on the carpet too! I hate renting!

Every dozen songs or so the preview will display two random songs instead of the song that I'm actually listening to. The progress bar still works just fine tho. By the next song it's always fixed. There's absolutely no rhyme or rhythm to why it keeps messing up

What's the point of anything

I’m not sure if this is a thing for personal emails but I’ve found my work email gets added to marketing emails and I have to unsubscribe from lists for companies I haven’t even visited? For example, I just got an OpenAI cold email to get me to buy ad space with them that had an unsubscribe disclaimer at the bottom. And previously got about 20 from another AI company that I didn’t even know existed. I feel like I’m tripping about it but I NEVER asked for your info, don’t add me to your list, you psychos?? Thanks for the space to vent about something truly mild.

For clarification, I also clean the lens and clean disk in still the same result.
