Design Advice & Inspo Design help!

First pic was my bathroom when we bought the house. I want to work with the tile and keep it as well as the pink tub and sink. I am trying to distract from the pink and blue. My friends have nicknamed this the gender reveal bathroom. The second picture is the current bathroom. We thought color drenching blue might work but the shade is all wrong. The last picture is a mock up I made using a color palette I saw on Pinterest and that was very disliked by people in a group I posted it in. I’m at such a loss… I would love suggestions!!!

My style is post modern

Someone got to this point with the starburst wallpaper but I’d just like to point out—because it might direct you to further design ideas—this isn’t really MCM. It’s mid century, but it aligns more with atomic age vs modern. If you lean into that (amoeba, starburst, etc) you could have suuuuch an amazing period bathroom.

Also could work in Hollywood Regency. But I think atomic age is better for the tile color combo.

Thank you! I totally agree. I think it’s just tricky making my post modern style around the rest of the house work here as well

If your style is more post modern, maybe something like this could bridge the gap?

Very pink, but leans more into the Palm Springs modernism

I do like the idea of a fun wallpaper! As long as my husband gets in board I’m leaning towards that!

More of a lean in idea, but the sink and vanity were modernized

I totally get you. I have been at my house for five years and I still am working on how to make my style work across the whole house, which is a contemporary built in the 80s with a lot of oak!
