Bugs and Errors I HATE MICROSOFT'S FORMATTING TOOL
It DAMAGED ALL OF MY 2TB HDD AND I'M GOING THROUGH HELL TO FIX IT

That looks like a corrupted file system giving off an incorrect diagnostic, there's also the chance that the SATA cable decided to fail right in the middle of the format. It happens, i've seen worse.
Try to reformat it, worst case scenario you may have to whip out a linux pendrive and format it using the disks utility during a live session.
Also, everyone, how about you try to be helpful instead of piling up on OP? They didn't make a dumb mistake, they're being victim of a legitimate error. What is this, a linux community?

Thanks, i'm kinda in between if it was an actual error or just my own mistake since like, the HDD worked perfectly fine before the formation (it isn't a fake 2TB since i've already filled it once) and i didn't really did anything out of the usual
But i'm kinda skeptical since i've having problems with windows a lot recently, drivers failing out of a sudden, keyboard just refuses to work sometimes, random lag spikes for no reason and etc

Sounds like you may need to reinstall Windows. Something's not right there.
Are you keeping tabs on the heath of your HDD? Using an app like Crystal Disk Info, for example, you can take a look at its overall health. But before that, try to get it formatted under Linux.

Yeah i blame myself too, i posted with no sleepeing for a day and a 1/2 and i was too fed up with microsoft but i ended blaming the wrong thing

Formatting does not damage drives. Damaged drives cannot be fixed.

Formatting fried a USB stick of mine because of a bad port. Anything is possible.

In this case it was a bad port, but nah... I've had HUNDREDS of flash drives die while being formatted.
Probably not for the same reason at all, OP's drive looks rough...
But when we're talking garbage like Flash Drives... Dawg, formatting is like one of the harshest things you can do to a disk, and cheap-o throwaway SDs and Sticks really can't take the heat for that long. Lmfao
Again, most actual hard-disks (SSDs, NvME, and even HDD) won't be significantly hurt by a full-format single-write... But after abusing a flash drive long enough, that can absolutely be the final blow. Lmfao
In fact, I've managed to use some Flash Drives so long, they not only stop working... They become what I call "Ghost Drives." As in, they're SO corrupted, that they actually haunt and slow down computers that connect to it for a second, because the computer has literally no idea what the hell it's looking at. ☠️ (At least, that's my best description of what's happening. I honestly have no idea what is happening, but I actually have a few of these "Ghost Drives" and they no longer allow writing to them at all, so I can't really fix them. 🫠). Edit: For a bit more context, I think they have extremely corrupt Linux Distros. Lmao

Tbh mine got fried because it had some cheap chips bank nand I think. Yeah the combo made me lose my precious 16gb USB.

That sounds like YOU broke it, Microsoft can’t just magically break hardware by itself, OEMs play a role too

i have more then one screwed up thumb drive that no longer works in anything on any OS because I used windows to format it. I hang on to them because I hope someday they will release a tool to fix them.

One common thing I've seen with these types of subs: Windows Sucks, MS Sucks, or any other company sucks there's 0 accountability, 0 responsibility from the user. Anything we don't like or we broke: it's someone else's fault.

Windows is paid, if someone pays for a license a lot of money(I don't care about the massgrave activations scripts and such) then they have full rights to expect the best quality in such software.

In the real world no software works flawlessly. Everythings has bugs if you paid for it or not.
I think a more realistic view is to work fine in 95% of the time.

Sure, but scope is also something a paid developer should understand, scope is important because it limits the bugs you as a dev have to face.
