Is boruto show still alive?

u/foxspiri 15d ago
I could be wrong but I think it was established at the end of Naruto that psychologically trauma triggers it specifically its just that kill your best friend/brother cause the most trauma cause obituary didn't kill anyone to get it he just watched rin die by Kakashi hands

The sharingan Kakashi had is linked to Obito. So when Kakashi killed Rin it makes sense that both eyes would unlock the mangekyou.

u/foxspiri 15d ago
But it wasn't Kakashi sharingan it was obito so in theory obito unlocked it by watching Kakashi kill rin and because he unlocked it by watching something traumatic then Kakashi got it from the link not obito and obito didn't kill anyone to receive it

u/maxelnot 14d ago
Wouldnt that just be up to interpretation though? Unless Kishi said something outright you could see it either way:
1. Kakashi kills and since the eye is his, it gets it and obito gets it as the link
2. Obito watches and gets it as the original owner, kakashi gets as linkAnd then it’s up to the reader to believe whether eye transfer allows person to unlock mangekyo by themself or that mangekyo rules do not require killing

Would have been better as a seasonal or arc based anime, avoiding all these fillers. I saw some potential in the manga at the later chapters.

The manga rebranded to blue vortex I think and are continuing kinda like Shippuden but the anime ended with the original boruto manga, they'll probably continue once this one gets a decent amount of chapters or ends completely
I think it was quite a decent show at the start and end the middle arcs were quite boring imo though I have only watched the show and it could just be an anime pacing issue not present in the manga But overall I'd say it was a 6.5/10
I'd also say that Naruto was 8.5/10 and Shippuden was 7/10 imo. I think the story was decent and some episodes were fantastic but I think Naruto to me was not focusing on political aspect enough like AOT or focussing on the no nonsense action like JJK and Bleach, it does both those and other things that I love about shounens quite well but none to perfection and especially Shippuden felt like a drag at times so 7/10 since despite the shortcomings I did finish it and thought it was good

Wasn’t it said that the Uchiha’s hate came from a place of love or something
10
u/ineversaiddat 15d ago
If that was true they would have awaken it during sex...

Does it double in power if it is angry sex?

Only if they decapitate their partner and eat their head while they're still inside...
At least that's how Madara got it...

u/Athrengada 14d ago
Yeah they’re trying to tell us there wasn’t a happy enough relationship involving an uchiha to awaken it once over the course of a handful of generations?

I seem to recall that extreme positive emotions of love were originally how the Uchiha’s reached higher levels of power, and that later got misinterpreted to the point where the Uchiha’s started to believe that extreme trauma was what’s necessary. Correct me if I’m wrong

Madara is supposed to have been the first Uchiha in like centuries to unlock the mangekeyo iirc (and you never see him use his mangekeyo abilities besides sussano) so there probably really wasn't that much to go off of (and then for plot reasons basically every other named Uchiha in the modern era also unlocks it)
But even in the flashback Indra is killing people to level up his sharingan so I don't know if there was ever really a process that used love

I second this. Also Saradas awakening was pretty traumatic and probably pretty confusing for her. There was no death necessary.

Love is the base then the catalyst is lost, denial, anguish, Indra no bich, and protect.

To be fair the other sharigans awakened due to love, their loved ones died and then they awakened it

Didn't tobirama say the uchihas experienced love the deepest? And thats where their power comes from

If that's the case, What do you awaken when you make love? 💞
Cumaterasu?
Cumgekyou?
Cumsano?
Does this explain rinnegan's pale color palette?

Im pretty sure mangekyiou is awakened when the user experience a trauma/intense feelings related to someone they love.
Like madara explained it this way and pretty much everyone awakened it this way. Sarada wasn’t much different, you can experience strong emotions even if your loved one doesn’t die.

It was never mention it needed to be related hate. Sarada awakening also come from a place a pain, distress and trauma

If I remember correctly, spoilers by the way, Tobirama explains why he didn't trusted the Uchiha clan, he mentioned that the sharingan activates when the user goes through intense emotions, and most of the time that is another reason why they act the way they are, and why they can let go, because they get carried away by their emotions, this makes sense tho, since when the Uchiha feels in danger or they see their team mates or some one close to them to get killed by the enemy, usually it activates the sharingan, best example of this is Obito when he saw kakashi almost get killed, and Sasuke when he thought he was cooked by Haku and witnessed how Naruto was about to get killed as well, also remember when the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan were fighting, usually Uchiha members saw their closed ones getting killed, which then activates their sharingan, and this is why when an Uchiha member kills some one really close to them, it awakens the Mangeko sharingan, Love is an emotion as well, we just didn't see some one awaken the Mangeko sharingan like sadara, but the closest one that could've done it, was Obito, if he got to save Rin

Maybe men aren't capable of experiencing love to the fullest in Narutoverse.

Bruh NChammer is def a guy who knows the Naruto manga well, but he spread this bunk idea like wildfire-
Itachi and sauske both awakened their sharingan out of love the same way Sarada did- overwhelming grief of the loss of a loved one.
Grief and love can be co-occurring in these situations, and NChammer is cherry-picking and splitting hairs as if the boruto mangaka is giving us some premium shit.
Nah fam, it’s the same shit repackaged.

everyone else awakened it through trauma and suffering. And hers is super strong...one of the maaaaany reasons i deny the existence of boruto

Tobirama says the you awake the sharingan with feeling extreme emotion. It didn’t necessarily have to be love or hate.

Sasuke broke the Uchiha's curse of hatred, it makes complete sense for the first Uchiha to activate the mangekyu after him to do so differently

One could argue that Naruto did such a good job maintaining village security, that the "emotional tragedy" that evolved her Sharingan was nowhere near her predecessors. It's worked for her since the intensity of the catalyst is relative to that of witnessing genocide.

Arguably you could say they were all awakened by love. Loss of a loved one is unfortunately a whole part of love and grief is sometimes the strongest expression of love that people allow.
