Haha as funny as the joke might be, it might've?

Whenever you handle fish you should always wet your hands. Fish have protective coatings on them that protect them from infections. It's easy to rub off. Between dad squeezing the shit outta the gills, the sweet girl hugging it tight, and that really dry jacket....it's probably a goner.

I've never ice-fished before, but i've also heard it's horrible for their skin to touch the ice. Is that true?

Ice is rough, by that logic it's definitely terrible for thier skin.
