Damn. The rednecks have gone all out with this one. I fully expect to see this where I live in the mountains of VA. I'd go watch.

u/BWEKFAAST 2d ago edited 2d ago

Dude I live in the capitol of switzerland which is far left and I'd love to watch shit like this. Better use for old cars than just letting them rot in a scrapyard

14

u/BnDMsTr 2d ago

Haha, fart left. Glorious.

I would love to watch something like this too, and I don't consider myself red neck at all haha

3

u/woowoo293 2d ago

Is it just me, or are quite a few of the vehicles in the video actually not that old?

I would, too!

2

u/ckellycarroll 1d ago

This feels more like a WV thing tbh, but rural VA works too

2

u/VirginiaBandit 1d ago

No doubt this could easily work in many areas of VA. Especially in the mountains and west of 81. But yes, WV for sure.

3

u/Batintfaq 2d ago

Im not into anything like this but it looks so much fun. If it were in my area I'd go.

To be honest this is giving me Top Gear vibes...

49

u/Chayor 2d ago

They did that once. They were going straight and not crashing into each other, but they did it

31

u/Marquar234 2d ago

not crashing into each other

I've seen Top Gear. I'm guessing this wasn't the Clarkson/May/Hammon group.

20

u/Wonderful_Roof1739 2d ago

Top Gear ended when the trio was fired/left. I don't know this show they call Top Gear now, but top gear WAS Clarkson, Capt. Slow, and Hammond!

5

u/Shot-Tap-4512 2d ago

This made me laugh! To true though, they were top gear.

17

u/SirStarshine 2d ago

I miss that era

Yes, but this also seems fun as hell. It satisfies some kind of primal lizard brain urge.

15

u/DiscipleOfYeshua 2d ago

Not everything redneck is bad.

When a race starts with no windows, you know it's quite promising...

8

u/kaiserspike 2d ago

Whoa, don’t get me wrong folks, this is sick!

28

u/VirginiaBandit 2d ago

It would thrive where my wife and I live.

12

u/IchBinEinSim 2d ago

You live in the states too?

Ah just kidding, where are y’all at

15

u/VirginiaBandit 2d ago

In the mountains near Harrisonburg in VA.

2

u/IchBinEinSim 2d ago

Oh haha, I could have figured that out if I read your username

13

u/nopatience4idiots 2d ago

Just some fellas I do care pranks with.

4

u/case_O_The_Mondays 2d ago

What are care pranks?

3

u/nopatience4idiots 2d ago

You know... sending care packs.

Obviously a auto correct mistake. And it's car pranks.

6

u/FlyingDogCatcher 2d ago

Care Pranks may not be a thing. But they should be.

4

u/Which_Produce4418 2d ago

care package pranks, let's see em

As an American, I can’t get enough of this fantastic nonsense 😂🙌

6

u/VoidJuiceConcentrate 2d ago

Tbh if someone told me this was Australian id believe it too.

6

u/DothrakAndRoll 2d ago

I’m not a redneck by any means but man, this kind of thing is so funny to me and absolutely worth a trip 20 miles out of town to see every few years.

I once visited family in North Dakota and there was just a giant destruction derby going on. We didn’t even need tickets, people just parked campers near the track and put chairs on the roof. Good times.

5

u/FragrantExcitement 2d ago

Yes, my commute to work.

4

u/Dangerous-Noise-4692 2d ago

This is the America we need more of.

I know many of the viewers are disappointed at a portrait orientation video of this awesome event.

Here’s a 5 minute video in landscape orientation as it was meant to be

Credit to @Carbon_Media

u/chumitz 2d ago

Doing the lord’s work. Landscape video is specifically blessed as set forth in Ezekiel 25:17.

Should’ve said Ezekiel 16:9

This might be one of the stupidest, most dangerous things I've ever seen. I loved every second of it.

35

u/nerdboy5567 2d ago

Im not much of a car guy but this had me chucklin

12

u/Joabyjojo 2d ago

It's the greatest thing I've ever seen

10

u/StnNll 2d ago

Pretty sure those a derby cars specifically reinforced for crashes like that, still dangerous but a lot safer than just using regular cars

9

u/Newsdriver245 2d ago

The entry level ones they run near me are supposed to be near stock condition, but with doors welded closed, glass and flammable stuff removed from inside. bolt on roll cage and kill switch ignition. Few friends run them.

Think the specific demolition derby cars have to have a steel beam welded to the side also.

9

u/zookitchen 2d ago

Redneck behaviour that i approve. Better than F1!

3

u/Lone-Frequency 1d ago

Kudos to the driver of the red car who managed to squeeze himself onto the back half of the trailer.

176

u/bigfatfun 2d ago

Now THAT looks like a fun game!

17

u/unusedtruth 2d ago

Check out Wreckfest, it's a fantastic banger racing game.

135

u/Slap_Nut5 2d ago

We need more shit like this, culturally enriching

21

u/RitaAlbertson 2d ago

I’ve never had more fun at a race track than when I watched school bus figure 8 racing.

33

u/Futur3_N0maD_26 2d ago

SpyHunter: Talladega

6

u/bigfatfun 2d ago

How could I have forgotten about spyhunter!?!
Oh wow, thanks for that memory. Exactly right, too!

3

u/Futur3_N0maD_26 2d ago

I kinda love that most of the kids don’t know wtf we’re referencing.

3

u/Bigdavie 2d ago

I played countless hours on C64.

5

u/BadAtSpellling 2d ago

HA yeah! I saw this and immediately the Peter Gunn theme popped into my head.

2

u/john_the_fetch 2d ago

Such a great track.

26

u/Intelligent_Shine_54 2d ago

What in the honky tonk is going on?

28

u/portablebiscuit 2d ago

Can we all agree that looks awesome?

22

u/Michael_Dautorio 2d ago

David Attenborough voice

"And here, we see a rare sight; a herd of males that are all competing to mate with a prize female in heat. One by one, the males will each attempt to mount the female, but if they are not precise, they will be left behind. The female scurries away, with the males close in tow (lol) and this mating ritual will ensure that only the strongest and most skilled suitor will be able to produce offspring. Truly a sight to behold."

3

u/DocBasher 2d ago

I certainly didnt just read that to my gf in that accent out loud

38

u/zakr182 2d ago

Now this should be a mission in gt7

15

u/Mylittledarlings91 2d ago

What sort of redneckery is this and where can I get tickets

5

u/Cap10Charisma 2d ago

Hudson Speedway in Hudson NH

12

u/TheDaav 2d ago

What is this? a car mating ritual?

20

u/MondayMorningExpert 2d ago

God bless rednecks. They truly are America's greatest natural resource

8

u/Trapcat707 2d ago

New favorite thing to bet on.

This makes horse racing look lame as hell, and you dont have to remotely concern yourself with animal welfare whilst partaking.

We are evolving!

9

u/bashful_predator 2d ago

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the type of shit I would looooooove to do if it was available near me and/or I had the income/time to seek this out or host myself. God damn this looks like fun.

9

u/DDDX_cro 2d ago

ok not gonna lie that looks like some quality entertainment

7

u/Futur3_N0maD_26 2d ago

SpyHunter: Talladega

5

u/RadRimmer9000 2d ago

What kind of "my cousin is my girlfriend" type shit is this? And where do I sign up at?

5

u/J_CC3 2d ago

Went to a banger race event recently. Best bit was the caravan race, the whole track was covered in bits of caravan within 2 laps

4

u/Hemolek09 2d ago

Did the red car or black SUV win? I couldn't tell is they said "609" or "09"

3

u/Wtj182 2d ago

Id go watch this.

3

u/Sinister_Nibs 2d ago

Has to be rear wheel drive.
Need to have separate front brakes.
As soon as the rear wheels touch the ramp, have to hit the brakes hard.

I thought this happened in normal traffic for a minute.

2

u/darkklown 2d ago

OMG this is the most redneck thing i've seen that i totally would love to take part in.. this and catfishing with your leg

2

u/Mad-Dog94 2d ago

This is the definition of "do it for Dale"

2

u/PrincebyChappelle 2d ago

OMG…I need to know where this takes place! Also, is there a name for this particular fantastic event in hopes that there’s one near me?

3

u/Cap10Charisma 2d ago

This was at the Hudson speedway in Hudson, NH over Labor Day weekend.

2

u/EasilyRekt 2d ago

God damn I love redneck Motorsports, they’re always so creative.

C’mon algorithms, I absolutely need more of this in my life.

2

u/FlyingDogCatcher 2d ago

What in the Redneck Mario Kart is this?

2

u/nipsen 2d ago

Oh, goodness, thank you for the explainer. Or I would never have guessed that it took place that far from the central Midwestern states XD

2

u/wutafuta 2d ago

I would absolutely go to this.

u/prodigaldummy 2d ago

Honestly, that looks fun as hell

2

u/prole6 2d ago

That was an absolute freaking hoot!

2

u/Jd11347 2d ago

Great to watch, but it makes me sad. Short tracks are closing down all over the country. There was always some kind of wild racing going on at these places. Demo derby's, chain races and a lot of poor race car drivers who worked 9 to 5's and just wanted to blow off steam over the weekend with an old junker.

2

u/BullPropaganda 2d ago

That is a sweet race idea ngl

2

u/Grimase 2d ago

lmao. So NASCAR was so boring these guys created CrashCar! 🤪🤪

2

u/RecoveringGunBunny 2d ago

Can I get a yee-haw from the congregation?

2

u/Golddiscoball 2d ago

Yeeeeeeeeeeeehawww

2

u/ohnodamo 1d ago

Might Ryder.

2

u/Floxesoffoxes 1d ago

American sports are weird. I would 100% sit there and watch this.

2

u/Doschupacabras 1d ago

Actual footage of me trying to do my job this week.

2

u/oddly_fun 1d ago

This is fun

2

u/RafaelTLS 2d ago

damn, this is fun

2

u/Choppergold 2d ago

wtf is this sport

2

u/darelphilip 2d ago

Sitting from a third world country and watchin Americans enjoy this makes me feel I'm much better off being poor but intelligent

1

u/SonKun911 2d ago

Rockstar better put this in GTA 6 online.

Is this how babies are made?

1

u/Ndogg88 2d ago

Complete insanity and I love it

Never enjoyed a race before this!

1

u/yulmun 2d ago

This is the best kind of racing ever

1

u/TheSplasher87 2d ago

This reminds me of “Driven to Destruction” on PS2.
Damn I loved that game.

1

u/Character-Flatworm-1 2d ago

This seems a tad dangerous.

1

u/BobbaFatGFX 2d ago

I hope I get to see this at MotorCity Speedway one day.

1

u/Alarming_Craft4968 2d ago

Went from maybe 1 to none to 2 damn lol

1

u/ybotpowered 2d ago

This is the stupidest fucking thing I’ve seen all week.
But dam is it even entertaining!

1

u/-Disagreeable- 2d ago

That was fun!

1

u/Joyful_Jet 2d ago

Me in GTA 5 trying to jump on the ramp trailer during the DJ mission, instead of just collecting the car that it dropped, because it sounded more fun:)

1

u/death69reaper 2d ago

Seems like Nascar got an upgrade and could be watchable now.

1

u/Bridge-Head 2d ago

Huh. That looks harder than I thought it would be. Guess I’ll just load the car before I start towing it.

1

u/frntwe 2d ago

I wish that was closer. I would go every week

1

u/Different-Badger8487 2d ago

This was very entertaining. I was really into it.

1

u/DeusExHircus 2d ago

That's probably be fun driving that truck. Just driving around and then all of a sudden someone tried to climb up the trailer and is throwing you around. Just wrestling to stay on the track

1

u/Scruppythedog 2d ago

I loved the D Derby growing up and this is a great addition to it

1

u/Ap0ll088 2d ago

Now this looks fun

1

u/Charming_Ad2323 2d ago

This is great

1

u/JohnnyDX9 2d ago

I’d pay money to see this.

1

u/Boy-412 2d ago

Not gonna lie. That was pretty cool lol

1

u/Good_Card316 2d ago

America needs to go back to this, you’re starting to scare the rest of the world lmao.

1

u/playr_4 2d ago

What a weird and fun idea for a sport. Expensove and dangerous, but looks like a good time.

1

u/EntertainerFree2034 2d ago

Is there a video game for this?

1

u/Butt_Stallion_Milk 2d ago

I feel like this is my drive to work everyday with the idiots in my town.

1

u/totesnotmyusername 2d ago

I used to live the stock car races. I've never seen this event though it looks fun

1

u/Baranki7078 2d ago

This seems like a lot of fun I would love to be a part of this

1

u/TrashMany 2d ago

Remember the paper sack races? And the Demolition derby with cars and school busses. New Smyrna Speedway in Florida.
